@Ashaheerdev @SriLankaTweet And the civilians are not there to protect the infrastructure, they are sitting ducks waiting to be killed. The regime knows this and that’s the reason they are there.

@groundview8508 @SriLankaTweet Lol so the ones damaging their countries infrastructure are not the ones doing terror, but the civillians who try to prevent it are the ones doing terror tactics?

No Iranian wants to see their country’s infrastructure destroyed. In a powerful act of unity, people in Iran are reportedly forming human chains around power plants to protect vital civilian infrastructure.

@Ashaheerdev @SriLankaTweet I don’t agree with Trump or his aggressive approach. He was wrong to start this. However, this reaction from the Iranians has hallmarks of terrorism all over it. If they actually cared about their people, they would have come to the table for negotiations.

The Attorney General has informed the Supreme Court that the present government will not implement the previous administration’s decision to sell eight state enterprises, including Sri Lanka Telecom, SriLankan Airlines, the Insurance Corporation, and Lanka Hospitals. The announcement was made during the hearing of a fundamental rights petition filed by Dr. Gunadasa Amarasekara and others, challenging the proposed sale. The petition was taken up before a three‑judge bench comprising Justices Achala Wengappuli, Mahinda Samayawardhena, and Sampath Abeykoon. The respondents named in the petition include the Cabinet of Ministers of the former government and former President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Representing the Attorney General, the state counsel stated that the current government has decided not to proceed with the sale of the institutions, and that a committee has been appointed solely to oversee restructuring efforts. Appearing for the petitioners, Attorney Kanishka Witharana noted that, since the government has confirmed it will not proceed with the sale, there is no further need to continue with the petition. After considering submissions from both sides, the Supreme Court bench concluded the hearing of the petition.

@Hanuman_Banda To be fair, the US has absolutely no clue about regional politics! It’s on show at the moment!

Either Sumanthiran is totally clueless on current world politics or he posted a bad faith comment. The US is now strangled Cuba. They will never allow a NEW lefty state to become a dictatorship. The US is our biggest trading partner. So I think Mr S is bull$hitting.

Tilvin Silva’s comments after a tour of China have reinforced these doubts: “We feel there is a form of democracy there. True it is a oneparty system but there is a positive side to that also because it helps to work towards one direction, one plan.” 1/2 eurasiareview.com/31032026-sri-l…

@djharristattaya AI can be used for decent research, you know? Funny how this dude thinks it’s some sort of flex to say that someone else used AI! Pure idiocy!

@djharristattaya @AKD100Days_ @SanjivaKUK Decision??? What decision you nutter? There was no option! Wow, a request takes a whole cabinet when there is only one agency to help in a crisis like what we were in! And acceptance and IMF visit to conclude, these are your big talking points? That’s bloody hilarious!

@groundview8508 @AKD100Days_ @SanjivaKUK You don't even know how to ask it properly 😂😂🤭🤭 This is what I have always been saying. People who are not familiar with the subject shouldn't wag their tails just because of AI. Before SLA, 1. Making the decision 2. Ground work 3. Request 4. Acceptance 5. IMF visit 🤦‍♂️

You’re the only person in this planet (including a few ppl shills) that somehow think that your nonsense is a true representation of facts. There is a place where people like that belong, it’s called a mental institution. Might do you some help, I mean that in the best possible way.

@djharristattaya @AKD100Days_ @SanjivaKUK First staff level agreement was reached on 1st September 2022 - RW was president at the time. He came into power in July of the same year, what's the point you are trying to make?

Dude, you need to get your head checked! He implemented all the tough austerity measures that were required from the IMF program - many of which were lambasted by the current regime. IMF program was executed during RW's tenure, only the go ahead came during GR's time. Are you living in the same planet?

@groundview8508 @AKD100Days_ @SanjivaKUK So when were the groundwork for IMF bailout programs and solutions for oil issues initiated? According to your logic, RW had nothing to do with managing the economic crisis. 😌😌 Well, okay, I accept.

Lifting the vehicle import ban?? Dear god, stop peddling this nonsense! They did nothing to get that ban lifted, the previous regime did all the heavy lifting and laid the groundwork, they did absolutely nothing other being in the driving seat. Lowering threshold - yes, they did. However, I wouldn't say a major component of that revenue comes from (this time's) lowering.

When this government decides to come up with their own policies! That's when the impact ends, is that not obvious? Do you really need me to point that out? What failures? If it is due to policy of the previous regime that are irrevocable (cannot change for reasons beyond this government's control), then, yes, the previous regime should be blamed.

@groundview8508 @djharristattaya @SanjivaKUK In that case failures happened during this government also shod be due to the previous government policies right? Also, would you mind telling me how long previous government's policies will have impact? One more year? Two more years?

@TrollMilanataya @djharristattaya @SanjivaKUK How is it better? Aren’t the curves flattening? And what did the current administration actually do to achieve these numbers? Clearly shows that the numbers achieved post election were an organic increase due to previous policies! Are you blind or stupid?
