This sentence from Carl Jung hits so hard. “No matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do your work truly and conscientiously, unknown friends will come and seek you.”

People say reading books is just a hobby. No darling. It's a personality, a lifestyle, a coping mechanism, a love language, a form of emotional damage, and the sole reason for my high standards.

The minimum wage in Pennsylvania is $7.25 an hour. A regular Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel at the mall is $7.29. Imagine telling someone an hour of their time is worth less than a pretzel.

@mattrib05 The doctrine of eternal families ultimately leans on trust, not logistics. There is no official flowchart, which is a good thing since, in reality, we are all one big family anyway. We are all God’s children and the final arrangement will be better than our current assumptions.

@mattrib05 It’s complicated, but I’ll tell you what I do know since I’m from a family that has similar circumstances: As long as everybody involved has been married and sealed in the temple, the children will stay with their parents. Multiple sealings create overlapping eternal connections.

In fact, the highest pick Utah was awarded is last year’s #5 Pick and the Dante Exum pick in 214. When the Jazz drafted Deron Williams in 2005 and Enes Kanter in 2011 at #3, both of those picks were other team’s picks. Looking back, it’s insane that Utah’s never had the top pick.

In 1979, the New Orleans Jazz were relocated to Utah. In 1985, NBA Commissioner David Stern created the NBA Draft Lottery to de-incentivize teams from tanking for a top pick. In the 41 years since then, the Utah Jazz have NEVER had the #1 or #2 Pick in the NBA Draft. NOT ONCE.

Isaac Asmiov on the one rule he followed in writing: "I made up my mind long ago to follow one cardinal rule in all my writing—to be clear. I have given up all thought of writing poetically or symbolically or experimentally, or in any of the other modes that might (if I were good enough) get me a Pulitzer prize. I would write merely clearly and in this way establish a warm relationship between myself and my readers, and the professional critics—Well, they can do whatever they wish." Did he make the right decision?

Student to J.D. Vance: When did you decide there were “too many immigrants,” and why sell us a dream? We spent our youth here..., paid what you asked, followed your path. How can you say we don’t belong... and remove people here rightfully? (October 2025)

Daisy Ridley on the response to The Rise of Skywalker: "I think it's still upsetting because you don't want people to feel like you've not served the thing that they're a fan of." How damning is that?
