@grumpywanderer1 @jacktruthafc The players were too frightened to come out for him cos Holland was old school & ruled with fear
English

@Alan_Oliver @xEllie24_ Course she can't. Another pretending to be 'ITK' while offering no details at all.
English

@xEllie24_ What did Steve Holland do? I’ve yet to see anyone actually say what he did. He’s getting slagged off and potentially rightly so but everyone calling him from a pig to a dog do not then follow up with any details. Can you?
English

@xEllie24_ Please explain in detail what Holland did? Or perhaps you're just blindly talking bollocks along club loyalty lines. Like most Arsenal fans on here.
English

@popsky96 @jacktruthafc If this were true it would've come out and players would've backed him.
English

@jacktruthafc He was publicly humiliated by Holland in front of the squad. His partner had had a miscarriage the day before & he asked for time away to be with her.
Holland refused him permission & told him to "man up" so White left the squad. Southgate backed Holland. Who can blame White
English

@xEllie24_ The fact he's never explained it suggests he knows he was a crybaby with no leg to stand on.
English

@38Games0Defeats @England @itvfootball Bullshit. If he'd been actually bullied it would've come out. My guess is he had a tantrum because he didn't like a harsh conversation. And if he played for Spurs you'd be all over him for it!
English

The fact that the @England fans want to boo Ben white shows how strong the media manipulation is!!
He was BULLIED. Any other work place and steve Holland gets sacked and dragged through the courts for compensation!
@itvfootball lying saying it was bout not getting minutes
English

@feliciacoltony1 @BigBearKentlaar He should come out and say what hurt his ickle feelings if he doesn't want flak. I suspect he hasn't because he was being a mard arse.
English

@BigBearKentlaar I blame journalists and pundits for revving up the hate for Ben White!
The way it has been reported has been negligent!
Always two sides to a story but Ben has copped all the flack for it!!
Don't be sheep people, have you own minds and think before judging!
Winds me up!!!
English

The FA owe it to Ben White to release the full reasoning into why he left the England camp and refused to return under previous management.
The world needs to know how much of a wanker Steve Holland is - You can’t blame someone for not wanting to work under a shit boss. People don’t want to do it in everyday life, why should a footballer?
English

@DougieCritchley He hasn't explained it. The fans don't like that he walked out on playing for his country. How else do they express displeasure at his attitude? Now they've done that they should leave it and support like everyone else.
English

I do think it's slightly weird behaviour from the England fans that booed Ben White at points last night...
No one knows the ins and outs of what happened with Steve Holland...
The biggest loser of his self-imposed exile was Ben White, with the Stones-Maguire axis unlikely to be shifted.
He doesn't owe England anything, it was a personal decision.
Not sure booing him is the right course of action for an introverted character re-entering the international stage.

English

@henrywinter Really? You should've mentioned it earlier! I think if you continue to post about it every day Tuchel might change his mind.
English

Still can’t believe that England are going to the World Cup without arguably their best passer. Watching fringe candidates labour at Wembley highlights even more the nonsense of Alexander-Arnold’s omission. He’s a game-changing option from the bench. If you have pace out wide in Gordon/Rashford and Saka/Madueke/Bowen and want to launch a quick counter, TAA can deliver. If England are in a shoutout, he can deliver. Risk/reward. #ENG
English

@LeeWard19 @MarcIles Decent bunch of lads but not quite good enough. Same with the manager. Money was spaffed away in the Evatt era and now we can't get the best. Need a manager who punches above his weight, not a nice guy who doesn't.

@Lignum539 @kelvmackenzie No the employee doesn't need to be publicly named, causing a massive pile on and potential threats. He or she has every right to express offence and complain. The problem lies with whoever failed to tell the employee to pipe the fuck down and stop being soft.
English

The employee should be named and shamed; by what right does one individual get to decide what the rest of us can watch and listen to. They used to be called 'mini-Hitlers', the sort of petty creep who used every rule in the book to make other people's lives miserable, for that is how they got their kicks.
English

“I’m not saying my wife’s a bad cook but she uses a smoke alarm as a timer.”
Unbelievably it was that kind of gag by Bob Monkhouse that led to an episode of BBC’s The Repair Shop being pulled after a TV production employee took offence to an alleged “ sexist” joke.
The hardback archives of Monkhouse’s handwritten joke books, dating back to 1960s, were bought in for repair by the comic’s adopted daughter and his old writing partner.
In a tribute to the comic, who died in 2003, footage of the restoration was due to be aired this year.
But the BBC axed the segment after a member of the production company Ricochet complained about one of the gags.
I would like to know the identity of that employee. He or she has robbed many of us of a decent bit of television. Rare enough on the BBC
I couldn’t give a toss if they were upset about the gag. Monkhouse will have bought a damned sight more pleasures to the world than this employee ever will.
English

@BBCRMsport @BBCSounds Very unfair choice of quote from BBC there, out of context. Makes him sound flippant. Goal needs to make that point to the BBC next interview too. Threw him under the bus there.

@Novaish73 @MarcIles I'm very confident we'll end up in the playoffs due to the poor teams below us and the cushion we have. My worry is we'll go into them in disarray and not perform. Hoping we're getting the bad spell out now and will recover in the last couple of games.
English

@MarcIles At the start of the season I thought it was season of change and we would finish 5th or 6th. So if he meets that regardless of what happens in the play offs I’d back him next season.
My worry is I don’t think that’s assured with the run in and our disjointed/inconsistent play.
English

“I think we probably have to write off the top two. If we can’t beat the last three teams we have played then I don’t see that it can be automatic for us, we will realistically have to look to the play-offs now."

English

@MarcIles He's confusing them and us. I like the guy and want home to succeed, but his tactical nous and selections are dreadful. He's got a good squad of players. It's on him as much as them they're underperforming. We need a managerial upgrade at the end of the season.
English

“We have just said to the players that we can't expect to get automatic promotion when you can't beat the last three teams that we've played, and that's no disrespect to them, if you're going for the league or trying to get automatic."

@WestminsterWAG What form did the harassment take ? Related to your journalism or just random because you are a woman?
English

I took the 94 bus home from dinner with an old school friend tonight. I was harassed by a man, while another sat next to me apparently in hysterics at what was going on. It was fine: I’m far too long in the tooth to care about a couple of dickheads. But had I been younger, I would have been quite scared. It’s not right that women should have to put up with this bullshit. Not right at all. London is not safe. @SadiqKhan
English

@JosephBWFC I've never stopped criticising him. Like him but just don't rate him.
English

@danbest88 He might, look at the state of the playoffs. Huddersfield and Stockport both getting slated by their fans as well. Would need to be lucky, I'm not saying I'm confident. He's not good enough though. Replace if we lose or first sign of trouble in the championship.
