The session addressed psychomotor agitation, suicidal behavior and professional self‑care, combining theoretical content, practical exercises, and a mobile app specifically designed to support intervention in critical situations.

With the participation of Gema Serrano (SALBIS), Cristina Martínez (@HeqolRG ) and forensic physician Verónica Carranza, a training session was held at the Ponferrada Campus for Local Police officers and professionals working in security and community intervention.

Pilar Marqués, the keynote speaker at the Espíritu Santo School’s patron saint’s day celebrations, spoke about her passion for a career in science.

Natalia Calvo Ayuso, from the SALBIS research group, participated as a guest speaker at the 2nd Conference on Thermalism: water, health and knowledge held at the University of Vigo (Ourense Campus).

Marqués highlighted that knowledge transfer at peripheral campuses is of interest to both universities and local regions, given that it creates an ecosystem for transferring the knowledge we co-create together, fostering innovation and enhancing employability prospects.

In this presentation, she analysed how a distributed university structure influences the management of university-business knowledge transfer, identifying common challenges, unique opportunities and key organisational decisions.

PILAR MARQUÉS is committed to Knowledge Transfer at Peripheral Campuses as a strategy to add value to local areas. On 24 March, Pilar Marqués was guest speaker at the Conference on University-Business Knowledge Transfer at Multi-Campus Universities in Castile and León.

Initiatives like this help spark an interest in science from an early age and underline the importance of outreach activities in bringing research closer to society.

Through this activity, the children were able to see how a perfect sphere can be formed from two liquids, offering them a simple yet striking introduction to scientific experimentation.
