The doctor who put you on it was not trained to take you off it. Most psychiatric medications are prescribed by generalists. Family doctors. GPs. Physicians for whom long-term psychopharmacology was never part of the training. They prescribe. They refill. They do not review. Getting off safely is a completely different discipline. That is the gap nobody is talking about.

I may have had my life ruined by psychiatric drugs but at least I haven't spent my career wrecking other people's lives with those drugs. My conscience is clear. No one is dead or disabled because of me.
