The commotion was a distraction unfortunately but I’d just like to extend my thanks, along with the whole squad’s gratitude, for the travelling supporters today. In fact, every week they’re incredible. We are lucky to have every last one of them & will work indescribably hard to bring success to this football club, as they so deserve.

Sadly a player kerfuffle after the final whistle, escalated by a Worthing United ‘supporter’ prevented the Uckfield team from thanking the travelling supporters. I’m sure the gaffer and the lads would have welcomed the chance.

@gsull27 @AfcUckfieldTown The reality is that the current group is trying to rebuild while clearing problems they didn’t create. That’s never straightforward, and progress isn’t always obvious from the outside, but it doesn’t mean the ambition or priorities aren’t there.

@gsull27 @AfcUckfieldTown Agreed that a few could step into step 6, but how many are just happy playing with their mates in a league not so testing where generally they win instead of getting walloped 🤷🏼‍♂️, players tend to play for enjoyment at this level, and no enjoyment getting smashed week in, week out

@AfcUckfieldTown It looks like we are prioritising a MSFL promotion push over maintaining our senior football status. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We are literally sleepwalking into intermediate football and no one seems to care.

@AfcUckfieldTown It’s mad that Mitch (and probably 3 or 4 others) don’t get in the first team squad. With the first team results as they are, surely someone like Mitch, with step 5 experience, should be given his chance. 🤯
