@troutgirl @amyg12345 I'm not sure this answers your question, do you actually need to change the extension image ? Installing/using the extension should not impact how you can update/redeploy you own app.

@troutgirl @amyg12345 When developing an extension, you can rebuild the extension image and use `docker extension update` redeploy it (update will not delete the extension volume, so you don't loose your data)
