The movies really don't portray what one really looks like after nearly 2 weeks in hospital. Blowing cannula after cannula. They even had to call in the vein whisperer! A lady who goes from ward to ward just inserting cannulas. My other arm isn't much better!

Feb 5th, I was informed my role at VMware was redundant. Mentally, I responded well. Physically, my body decided to pump pus into a disused organ 'til it popped. 1 appendectomy & 5 nights in hospital later, I'm finally home. At least I have plenty of time to recuperate! #layoffs

Sitting in the hospital with Anne at the moment. She deteriorated overnight and her consultant tells me we're talking day to day. Can I ask those of you who believe to say a prayer for my girl, please.
