I'm just back from Egmond aan den Hoef, where I took part in a documentary about #Descartes. I was there to discuss the significance his relationship with Dutch maid, Helena Jans. My first novel 'The Words in My Hand' is built around the facts that exist in the historical record>

I was at King's Lynn Fiction Festival this week: a rare chance to meet other writers & explore how our work intersects. The chance to draw across very different works to find meaning is one of the things I value most about these events. It's endlessly re-energising & rewarding.
