@IamN0TaHuman @faheem_khan_dev Yes. You can’t be arrogant or disregard work culture. In my case, I step out for 5 mins, use a quiet staircase midlanding (rarely used as we are on 4th floor), and pray. My TL knows and has no issue since I respect everyone’s time.

I think they forgot their moat and focused on diversifying which made the app so laggy in the mid range phones like mine. But then Google pay entered and kept it simple.

They were the ones who: - Put QR codes in the smallest kirana stores - Drove adoption when digital payments were still unfamiliar - Made “scan & pay” a daily habit across India They built the rails at the ground level. Others scaled it.

Every time we've considered building a UPI app at @zerodha the conversation always ends at the same place: @NPCI_BHIM already exists. We could never figure what we could do differently. It's kinda surprising that 10 years after UPI, the BHIM app just as 1% market share. I think it should be much higher. If you haven't tried it, you should, it's quite slick.

Asked someone from the industry whether foreign investors are still interested in allocating to India. The TLDR: Interest has pretty much died out. India is seen as geopolitically exposed, especially to an oil shock. There are no real AI plays. Valuations are rich. And the rupee situation doesn't help. On top of that, investors who were sitting on gains have taken money off the table and are now looking at markets like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Europe etc instead. He also pointed out that our LTCG/STCG structure and the increase in STT have made India less attractive compared to other markets that are seeing inflows. If we need to attract FPIs back, and we do, fixing this feels like pretty low-hanging fruit.
