India is the only country in the world, where tax payers lives are eased, given relief, their lives better by simplifying the language of the tax laws, by a smooth functioning website.
In other countries, govt provides infra, healthcare, education & pensions, reduce tax rates.
In Parliament today I proposed optional Joint filing of Income Tax Returns for married couples.
Family A
Both spouses earn ₹10 lakh each.
Total household income is ₹20 lakh.
Tax: zero
Family B
One spouse earns ₹20 lakh. The other stays home to raise their child.
Total household income is ₹20 lakh.
Tax: ₹1.92 lakh
The only difference is how the salary is split between the two spouses.
One roof. One kitchen. One household budget. But when tax time comes, the family disappears.
The tax system sees two individuals. A husband and wife become strangers. No clubbing of income or rebates.
In Parliament today I proposed optional joint filing of Income Tax Returns for married couples, so families with uneven incomes are not unfairly penalised. If implemented, then Family A and Family B both will pay Zero Tax.
@venkat_fin9@marinebharat This is exactly my issue with Swacch Bharat cess we have been paying since years. India is no different than what it was, then why tax separately for Swacchh?
Although, people need to change too for a cleaner India.
@jasveer10 I don’t see anything wrong even if he agreed to join. How many promises do corporates keep up with regards to its employees? I have seen so many benefits stripped down after joining org, what corporates do to us is no different in that sense!
Interviewed a backend developer.
Guy was at 21 LPA. We offered 28 LPA, roughly a 33 percent hike. He agreed and confirmed joining.
Yesterday he emailed saying he got a 32 LPA offer elsewhere and now wants 36 LPA from us.
Nonsense. Why agree in the first place.
If you are still shopping offers just say it upfront. We stopped interviewing other candidates and waited through the notice period for the joining date.
Now two days before joining, he came back with a new price tag.
What kind of games are these? The 15:00 candle of today's SENSEX 77000 PE is unrealistic. While Sensex moved from just 80305 to 80158 during this minute all PE strikes have experienced unusual spike in premium.
@SEBI_India request your kind explanation of this matter.
@SEBI_updates@SEBI_India
Please explain the spike in option premium BANKNIFTY 59300 PE at 13:43 today. Unrealistic spike for just a move of 30 points downside of underlying instrument.
Isn’t this exactly what you wanted to curb and scrapped all the weekly expiries?
Another day, another tragedy, a high-mast light pole collapsed onto a moving Creta in Pratapgarh, UP, killing Samajwadi Party leader Lal Bahadur Yadav. This isn’t just an accident, it raises serious questions about construction quality and public safety.
Governments are quick to collect hefty taxes in every budget, yet basic infrastructure safety keeps failing. When contractors face only token penalties, negligence becomes routine and lives are put at risk.
Accountability has to be real, strict blacklisting, heavy financial penalties, and criminal liability for officials and contractors responsible. Without tough enforcement and transparency, people will keep paying the price for poor oversight and corruption.
Common Indians are paying more income tax in India than corporates !!
In Last Financial Year, Tax collected from Individual common Indian Taxpayers was over ₹11 Lakh Crores.
Whereas tax collected from Corporates was just above ₹9 Lakh Crores.
- @raghav_chadha, RS MP, AAP
3 crore people pay more tax than than the entire 140 crore people combined - IT vs GST
3 crore people whose total income is a mere rounding off fraction when compared to the entire corporate earnings, pay more tax than the whole corporations combined.
This is just the government sucking your blood when you are alive. When the blood runs out, you are thrown away and there will be someone else replacing you.
@venkat_fin9@nsitharaman@narendramodi Seriously sir, we have been talking of abolishing of STT, LTCG and relaxation but the Gov has the audacity to increase STT. Pathetic treatment towards its tax paying citizen.
In this budget if 30% slab is not removed below 50L, surcharges, cess not removed, kids education, nps, home loan not included in the new regime, severance pay is not tax exempted, direct action will be taken against the govt by the top salaried class.
No work
Stop consumption.
Pay salary tax: 10–30%
Pay petrol tax: 55%
Pay vehicle tax: 18%
Pay health tax cess on IT: 4%
Pay toll tax every 60-90 km
Health & education Cess: 4%
Pay tax on every product: 5–28%
And in return, we get cities like this.
