Here's a work in progress of my next map video: the Map of Engineering!
Please take a look and I'd love to know if you think I've missed anything off, or if these elements could be better placed. Many thanks!

Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem; a crusader pub established in 1189 CE, year Pope Gregory VIII called for a Third Crusade to the Holy Land and year that Richard the Lionheart became king of England and started organising Third Crusade. It sits below Castle Rocks and the walls of Nottingham Castle, in heart of town centre. Many man made tunnels and caves connect to it, dating back over a thousand years. Robin Hood a figure of English folklore, but also believed to be based on a real person who lived in Nottinghamshire and who went on the crusade, is said to have frequented the inn. The inn is also haunted by former crusaders.
King Richard the Lionheart and his men congregated at the pub before embarking on the Third Crusade in Jerusalem, giving the pub its name. Evidence suggests that caves in the rock against which the pub is built were used as a brewhouse for Nottingham Castle, and may date from around the time the castle was built in 1067 CE, then being extended as a pub for townsfolk outside the Castle walls.
Richard the Lionheart ruled England, the Principalities of Wales, and also ruled lands as Lord of Ireland, Duke of Normandy, Aquitaine and Gascony; Lord of Cyprus; Count of Poitiers, Anjou, Maine, and Nantes; and was overlord of Brittany. Richard I ruled over much of France during Angevin Empire (sometimes called the first English Empire).
Richard had already taken the cross as Count of Poitou in 1187 CE. His father and Philip II had done so at Gisors on 21 January 1188 CE, after receiving news of the fall of Jerusalem to Saladin. After Richard became king, he and Philip II agreed to go on the Third Crusade, since each feared that during his absence the other might usurp his territories, they collectively organised Crusade.

"The elderly gentleman was seated in the booth directly across from my family as we ate dinner Saturday night at Eat'n Park in Belle Vernon. We really didn't see him come in. But we did notice when our server, Dylan, dropped to one knee to look him eye-to-eye as he got ready to take his order.
The man apologized for not hearing too well. He had forgotten to put in his hearing aids. He talked about how he lost his hearing during his time in the war. He was 91 years old with many stories to tell. Dylan patiently listened giving him his full attention.
Eventually the man apologized for talking so much. 'I'm alone now,' he said, 'and I don't often have someone to talk to.' Dylan smiled and said he enjoyed listening. He then helped him figure out what to order and left to take it to the kitchen. It was a touching sight.
I wanted offer to pay for the man's dinner, but before I could flag down Dylan, a man seated at a nearby booth asked Dylan to bring him his check. 'Someone's already taken care of it,' Dylan smiled.
I guess we weren't the only ones eavesdropping on the conversation. After the man received his food Dylan came back to say he was on a break.
He asked if he could sit with the gentleman as he ate. As we left the restaurant the two of them were conversing and many people seated nearby were smiling. It was a touching sight.
With all of the negative stories about our youth today this was a breath of fresh air. I wonder if I would have been as kind and attentive if I were the one working there.
One thing's for sure, if you are ever at Eat'n Park in Belle Vernon, ask for Dylan. If he's your waiter you're certain to get great service."

One of our very favourite bird facts:
The long-tailed tit has the nickname “bumbarrel” - so called for the spherical shape of its mossy nest.
