True and correct but I think limited in scope. The margins between the two teams were wider than this today. City could have kept that 2nd half press past 65’ and piled on. We had no answer. No way to claim territory or a MF foothold.

City’s flat-4 pressing front is really fearsome. Tip of the cap. This is where someone like Odegaard, even Eze come a little deeper to help break us out better. Instead we’ve settled for too many Gabriel scoop balls so far.

Arteta took too long to make changes but it wasn’t changes that saw us start to get Zubi and Rice on the ball - it was conceding a 2nd. Don’t think anyone on the bench helps us come into the midfield and break their pressure. No Martin, no Eze, no clear solution.

We’ve seen Arsenal really struggle the last few matches to get out of the back. For me that’s missing technical qualities to come break us out. I get pushing it long for Gyokeres. But when we settle into just hitting it long, I truly believe we are at our worst. Were tonight.

Sad day. Sad final. We went a bit limp, clear second best the final 45. Midfield lost the battle. Our lack of composure and technical security exasperated the issue. Their press won them the day in a big way. And yes a Kepa gift makes it easier and salts the wound.

That’s not to let Arteta off the hook. He sat on his hands and watched City’s pressure break us. Probably just commenting on a desperate need to have central midfielders available to best a press.

No answers in the 2nd half for getting midfielders on the ball. City put on the press, forced Arsenal to our left and we just started pumping it long. no composure Long balls: - Kepa 7/15 - Gabriel 1/6 - Hinc 1/4 - 34% as a team Let them just pen us in until we broke.

Been 2nd best since the start of the half. No answer to their press. Just pumping it long eveytime is when we are at our worst. No balance, no possession, no ball movement. Down 2-0 and a mountain to climb.
