Arsenal Football Club will soon announce the farewell of their Premier League Champion Leandro Trossard. It also seems the fanbase are not dealing with the noise of the transfer window well. I will aim to post somewhat of an update on where we are with some deals.

Ayyoub Bouaddi: €100m/£85m Mateus Fernandes: £85m Sandro Tonali: £92.5m+£7.5m Elliot Anderson: £116m Youri Tielemans + Andrey Santos: £83m+£2m Value for money matters in this inflated, cooked market, especially when Manchester United have so many other priorities to attend to this summer. I know which deals I'd prefer & that is without even considering or factoring in the insane wages given to Fernandes, Anderson & Tonali.

This may sound controversial, but I don't want the Super Falcons winning another WAFCON under the current coaching staff. More than anything, I want them to secure a place at the next FIFA Women's World Cup. Beyond that, I want to see the deeper issues surrounding the team addressed. I'm also genuinely worried about the squad depth. That doesn't mean I'm wishing the team to fail,it means I don't think the warning signs should be ignored. My fear is that another WAFCON title under the same coach would be celebrated as proof that everything is working, when in reality there are still serious concerns about squad depth, preparation, planning, and the overall direction of the team. A trophy should never become a shield that protects those responsible from accountability. The players deserve better. In all,I wish our girls great success.

You said he made us believe. Believe that we can win? Theory. What did we actually win with him? Practical. I remember him missing in a must win game to win us the league. This your level raising argument has no evidence to back it up? This is why I don’t believe it.

The Super Falcons winning back-to-back matches doesn't invalidate the concerns many of us have been raising. I want Nigeria to succeed, and I always will. Criticising poor preparation, player welfare, or football administration is not the same as wishing the team to fail. If anything, it's because we want the team to succeed consistently,not just overcome avoidable obstacles through sheer talent. Results matter, but so do the processes that produce them. We shouldn't only care about those processes when the team loses. Let's leave sentiments and emotions aside and examine these issues critically.
