Let me quickly tell you five facts about football shirt sponsorships that most people in the game do not know. Including why the most successful national teams in the world are not allowed to put a sponsor on the front of their jerseys. 1) Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United and PSG each earn €70 million per season from their front-of-shirt sponsors. Chelsea are currently negotiating a deal that could push that ceiling even higher to about €75 million per season. We'll see how that goes. 2) Barcelona signed a 13-year kit deal with Nike in 2025 worth a total of €1.7 billion, approximately €127 million annually. That is the largest kit sponsorship deal in football history by total value. To put that in context, that is more than most clubs in Europe's top five leagues generate in total annual revenue. Barca is making that in commercial revenue from one kit deal alone. 3) FIFA prohibits national teams from displaying corporate sponsors on the front of their match jerseys, primarily to protect its own global partners like Coca-Cola, Adidas and Visa. Allowing national teams to display competing brands during a World Cup would directly undermine the exclusivity those partners paid billions to secure. You should know tho that the ban applies to match kits only. Training gear and warm-up apparel are a different conversation entirely. So the next time you wonder why the Brazilian national team plays without a front-of-shirt sponsor, the answer is not principle. It is commercial protection. 4) Eleven of the twenty Premier League clubs currently have a gambling company as their front-of-shirt sponsor, representing approximately 60% of the division. Those gambling companies are spending £95 million combined across the Premier League in what will be the last season before the ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsorship takes effect from 2026-27. I love the initiative 5) Chelsea won the Club World Cup, qualified for the Champions League, and have still not closed a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal worth approximately £65 million per year. Their previous deal expired, the replacement was not secured, and reportedly the failure to close it cost their chief revenue officer his job. Commercial performance at elite clubs is not just about what happens on the pitch. Sometimes it is just as consequential off it. Which fact did you find most intriguing? Signing a top class back up is never easy. In fact it is one of the most difficult tasks in the transfer market. This is why I don't think Mosquera and whoever scouted/discovered him is not praised enough. He has been, for me, our unsung hero so far this season.

It is usually okay if it is done against Arsenal, it only becomes a problem if Arsenal does it to others. The hate for Arsenal is real, it is why a Liverpool fan would prefer Manchester City, their supposed number one rival in the last few years to win the league ahead of Arsenal. Petty hatred that won't stop us shining.
AFCAMDEN@AFCAMDEN

People wanna talk about defensive football but conveniently forget Pep played a back 7 against us with 11 men earlier this season. Haters, that’s all it is.

@leach_ross I don't want Sarr. We are no longer his level. We are bigger than that. If we want to be cheap, we should go for Ndiaye.

@thebottomcorna Would you take Ismail Sarr at Palace? Seems to be progressing very well. My dream is Kvratskhelia, amazing player.

Ekem is not very reliable but I will be very open to this deal as a replacement for Trossard at that price. Mika Godts for 40m is a good deal. However, if Martinelli is sold ( I think he will be sold judging by reports ), I will definitely want someone better than Mika Godts. A bigger name who is ready to hit the ground running.

🚨🆕 #Ajax 🇧🇪 Manchester United are set to compete with Arsenal for Ajax winger Mika Godts. 🔴 Arsenal → already showing interest. 💰 Ajax → asking price around €35/40M. 📅 20-year-old talent → one of the names to watch this summer.

Last season we were not close to winning the title and it is understandable considering the injuries and those twats at @FA_PGMOL but I hope our boys remember the disappointment of the season before when City won the title on the last day by beating West Ham. Arteta needs to constantly remind them of that season. We are now close, closer than ever.

I fine it utterly strange that we have lost 3 matches all season and some people are still not happy with Arteta and want him out. I can't get my head round it.

Josh Kroenke has arrived in London ahead of Sunday's Carabao Cup final against Manchester City. He will also hold talks with Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta ahead of summer window. Stan Kroenke could also be in attendance but that's not yet confirmed. @SamiMokbel_BBC

@TheGoalFather10 @AFCAMDEN Marginally better. If we are to sell Martinelli no one will pay us £60m yet Newcastle would want up to £80m for Gordon. Is Gordon £20m plus the extra wages better than Martinelli?

Despite what the trolls think, @AFCAMDEN is very reliable when it comes to transfers, if he says we want Anthony Gordon, I believe we want Anthony Gordon even though I don't want him. However, if Juventus don't make champions league, they could all of a sudden come vulnerable which gives us a chance to sign Kenan Yıldız. I won't be surprised if Berta drops the chase for Gordon and goes for Kenan Yıldız if Juve are ready to sell.

I can't remember any European game where we have played particularly haram football but in many EPL games we have been FORCED ( keyword FORCED ) to employ tactics against teams who come into matches to ensure they don't allow us play a free flowing football. Our performance in European games have shown VERY CLEARLY that we actually can play beautiful football but if you are an EPL team who wants to play Haram football, we are also good in that, bring it on. How beautiful our game is, is determined by whatever the opponent wants. You want Haram football, we are game, you want us to attack each other? You will be brutalised. The English media needs to know this and know peace.

Our summer signings have done incredibly well so far. Our scouting doesn't get praised enough. Can't remember when we signed a player and they truly flopped. Fabio Vieira is the last one but that is also subjective. We are very meticulous with our signings and it is why we are doing so well.
