@roguecaliber We had the Batters Box and GameZilla, in Truro, NS. Both are gone now, but we have the most wonderful little nerd shop, Cooper's Cabin. They have all the collectibles and goodies, and milk crates full of old rpg books to dig through and find forgotten treasures.

What and where was your gaming store when growing up? Who’s Hobby House in Rapid City South Dakota was mine. The doors are still open, but they no longer carry RPG product. I loved racing in there, grabbing the latest Dragon Magazine, a ugly lead mini, and a fistful of dice.

@Farore_RPG Whole campaign based on Nine Inch Nails' Further Down the Spiral. We played the cassette over and over and the campaign got weirder and weirder.

@CatieOsaurus My house is full of custom cabinets and drawers, the original owner was a cabinet maker, it does not help. It's just more spaces to stash stuff you can't find later.

@CatieOsaurus Safeties: Lines and Veils, x cards, etc. Character Creation Setting and Tone We recorded a session 0 for the first time about a month ago. First proper session 0 in a long time. Everyone at the table seems way more comfortable now, like the walls are down and the trust is up.

Yes, this is 100% true, but its more than that. Go look at GURPS Cops, Mysteries, Horror, or Fantasy. It doesnt just teach you how to play a game, it teaches you the tropes and methods of how to tell a STORY. Thats BEFORE we talk about the research that goes into the books.
