TODAYS KLOPP FIST PUMPS- A WARNING FROM FERGUSON & BUSBY I too today got caught up in the emotion of how much we love Klopp and the Fist Pumps and how he connects with the fans like no other Manager since Shanks. However history at our arch enemies Man Utd should teach us a huge lesson about letting go and looking to the future and not judging the new manager by the past one. Utd went 26 years from Busby to Ferguson and are currently 14 season on since their last Title under Ferguson and currently they are a mess of a football club. In both cases Busby and Ferguson hung around Utd long after they called it a day to the detriment of any new manager LIVERPOOL HISTORY WITH SHANKS & PAISLEY So Shanks like Klopp now regretted resigning and would probably have jumped at the chance of getting his old job back just as Jurgen would today. For those of you in the know Shanks would turn up at all the the training sessions when he started to miss his job and the players would call him boss when Bob was the real boss. Bob said to Peter Robinson this cannot continue and Shanks was told to stay away from Liverpool and the training ground. That decision took years off Shanks life and he had nothing to live for after that. It was extremely hard and not something you could do in today world of Social Media. Jurgen hasnt been to a training session and kept away from things but Liverpool fans still live in the past even though Slot won a Title in his first season when 6 of the last 7 managers did not in their whole careers. LETS NOT FORGET PAISLEY FIRST SEASON In 74/75 Liverpool completely choked the Title to Derby County, The failure of Failures as it was theirs for the taking and only getting 50 points to Derby County 53 points. In todays World everyone would have been calling for Shanks back and to sack Paisley and with social media they might have succeeded Fortunately we lived in different times and Paisley won a Trophy every season after that and became the most succesful Manager ever for LFC CONCLUSION Bill and Jurgen made their choices to desert #LFC for their own personal reasons, mainly being worn out after long stints at the club but it was their choice. Bill would have loved his job back but after 1976 that was never ever happening. Jurgen I am sure would love his job back and their is potentially a window of opportunity for him to come back. Whilst my heart would love him back my head sees what happened at Utd and what happened in 1974 at LFC and I know its best we move on. Unfortunately I am not sure the majority of the local fans can let go. As they say be careful what you wish for.
