@animeheadsretro Easily the best episode so far. I was skeptical at first, but I feel that this might turn out to be the best adaptation HnK ever got.

So....I just got watching Episode 9 of Fist Of The North Star 2026 and once again I have to say I am so glad I'm enjoying it despite my initial reservations. Will keep the spoilers light for anyone who plans to watch. The jackal arc continues with the most cunning villain Kenshiro has faced so far. Some of Jackal and his men's actions in this arc are truly horrible and this is pretty much a 1:1 adaptation of the Manga arc with some small stylistic and framing changes to make it a bit more suited to TV. I might be misremembering compared to previous episodes but it felt like there was more 2D animation in this ep and the 3D CG stuff seems to be getting smoother in recent episodes. It doesn't feel as jarring as it did in the first few eps. Some of the character close ups that used the 2D stuff looked class in this episode, like the shot of the group of Jackal's men in screenshot 1. The scene with Fox always makes me laugh in all versions because of how he's just nowhere near as clever as he thinks he is. That scene where Kenshiro discovers him and his plan is quite funny in every iteration. One thing I've consistently failed to mention is that the sound design of this show is some of the best I've heard in ages. I've mentioned the emotive voice acting (which is on top form again in this episode with another heartbreaking scene) but the actual use of the music and how it is quite quiet and in the background during the dialogue in fights but ramps up in key moments of action and tension without dialogue at exactly the right time to build intensity feels skillfully handled. Listening on headphones as I have is a good way to get the most out of how it sounds. I also like they kept the iconic 80's Anime's sound effects that indicate a villain's impending death. The ending of this episode really captured an intense panel from the Manga beautifully. Shunsuke Takeuchi's delivery of Kenshiro's final line was imbued with such rage it was awesome in the truest sense of the word(Pic 3). Also a shout out to Daiki Yamashita who voices Bat for his work in this series so far, the scene with Toyo his adoptive mother was so well handled. This version is really bringing the feels! I'm guessing Episode 10 might be the end of the Jackal arc unless they add more material. Looks like with Ken heading to the prison we should get to see "Devil" next week eh? @lg_castello97 Convocação por mérito, cara. Vcs não estão acostumados com isso no nosso país. Hall poderia ter ido mesmo, mas sem ele Shaw e O'Reilly devem disputar a vaga e os dois jogaram muito bem a temporada. Rogers e Gibbs-White jogaram muito mais que Palmer e Foden.

Hall, Wharton, Foden e Palmer fora da Copa do Mundo por opção técnica de Thomás Tuchel. Tuchel vem para fazer resenha no Mundial, não é possível.
