It's #ElectionDay, Hoyas! Today, we're sharing how @GUVotes is enhancing the voting culture on Georgetown's campus and encouraging students to vote. ✅

.@guvotes has done a phenomenal job promoting voting & civic engagement—helping their fellow Hoyas navigate state-specific changes amidst the pandemic. And it paid off! Hoyas outperformed the national average by a staggering 13.4%!

It’s not enough to just register to vote. Hoyas know that. To make your voice heard, you have to #VOTE. In 2020, Hoyas raced to the polls from around the country and surpassed their 2016 voter participation rates! Eligible Voters➡️61% to 79.4% Registered Voters➡️69.7% to 85.3%

.@guvotes is working hard to enhance the voting culture at @Georgetown by simplifying the voting process. In 2020, GU Votes took one step closer to reaching their goal of registering 100% of eligible voters on the Hilltop. 93.1% of eligible students are now registered to vote.
