“We’re going to give infectious diseases a break…” 🤔 • Measles: 2,318 US cases in 2026 (highest since 1991) • Cyclospora: worst US outbreak ever (>11k cases, 41 states) • Ebola: 3rd largest & fastest-spreading on record • And: salmonella (eggs), screwworm (TX animals), hantavirus cruise cluster. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Polio. Always straight to polio to defend all vaccines. So disingenuous to conflate the severity of polio and the effectiveness of its vaccine with the worthlessness of the Covid and flu shots and the overhyping of other shots I.e. meningitis. When all vaxxes are sacred, all become questioned.

? When I was a teen, 70s and 80s , right wingers were saying that sex ed was a “how to do it” class that resulted in more babies being born. If Ms Rosenfield is saying we need more unplanned teen pregnancies, and ending sex ed is the way to get this needed thing, isn’t she saying that liberals were right about sex ed?

I saw this report yesterday and had the exact same thought, followed by the thought that it wasn't worth it to say anything. Thank goodness Kat picked up the slack. And she says it well!
Kat Rosenfield@katrosenfield

I wrote for @thefp about why preventing teen pregnancy is of diminishing importance in a world where the teens are rather notoriously not having sex at all (headline writers really chumming the water with this one but you know what, I respect the game

@DDfromWV @ScottAdamsSays This had been happening a few generations ago, but had stopped long before the 2020 election? The discussion concerned alleged fraud in that election. How was your comment relevant to the discussion then?

@guy_leisure @ScottAdamsSays Do you have no historical context? I’m referring to the “good old days” when union boys would buy the votes in the landlocked coalfields. In my lifetime, WV had a GOP Senate Caucus of 2. Thanks to Obama, we’re nearly 100% R now. And we count our votes ACCURATELY overnight.

@mattyglesias It’s way worse than this. They think something is true just because they said so. They think their words are “autopoietic”, they build the reality the very second they speak. Because they are so rich and powerful they must be always, every single second, right.

Not unique to Musk — though Musk has a uniquely largely problem — a shocking number of prominent people have simply defected from the norm that you shouldn’t say things that aren’t true.

After Trump’s 2020 loss, his attorneys filed 63 lawsuits alleging voting irregularities. Lost 61 of 63. Found no voter fraud. In many cases, judges threatened to throw the attorneys licenses, owing to the attorneys failure to support their allegations with evidence. Why didn’t you, having this evidence, jump in to save these attorneys’ bacon?

The most liberal voters in the country are those with postgraduate degrees who make less than $60K a year. Imagine going to school for 20+ years to earn what a freshly arrived immigrant can on their first day here.

I've been telling you people, he's the dumbest man in the Senate. He's a central-casting politician with hair and a great voice and a membership in a fancy beach club and as a result people don't realize he's a moron.
