Every year has its losses, but losing Jack Jones a few weeks back hits home today. Playing my favorite Christmas album as I have done every Christmas morning for the last 16 years, only this time in Jack’s honor and memory.

Confused by the @Disney transition away from Slack to something else. If the reports online are accurate regarding what happened, it seems the root cause of the problem wasn’t Slack but rather a security culture where installing games and game mods on a corporate computer is acceptable. Not having the ability to detect when this is happening is also a contributor. The symptom of this was that Slack contents ended up being leaked when a game mod that had malware in it was installed. Moving to another collaboration tool doesn’t fix the root cause at all. The same incident is just as likely to happen again.
