Well, it wasn't removed - the drain, that is - during my trip back to hospital yesterday. Several weeks yet still doing its stuff. However, I also learned that they are intending to remove the gallbladder itself at some stage. It's all very exhausting, frankly.

1. Quick health update, if I may: I currently have a tube inserted in my chest that goes around the back of my ribcage and into my gallbladder. This has been draining infected bile for the past two weeks - and happily, all being well (I think it is!), that is due to be removed...

The lingering taste of hospital is beginning to fade - the mental trauma might take a little longer - but right now I'm delighted (and just a bit relieved!) to be able to post this confirmation that I am home now, and looking forward to plenty of rest & recuperation.

@akutrs I am very sorry to hear this Dave. Wishing you all the best and I hope you make a full recovery.

Some of you will be aware that my absence on Saturday was down to being rushed by ambulance to hospital. Pumped full of drugs, I am now out of intensive care but likely to be kept in for some time.

At Flambards. The most *spectacularly* depressing theme park in the UK. Most of the ‘big rides’ are closed, forever. Hardly anyone is here. They have an exhibition of ‘bridal dresses through the ages’.

Released in 1982, the Hawkwind lyric book was an essential item in the pre-internet days. It might not have been entirely accurate, but it was packed with great illustrations, many of them by @johncoulthart. Here's a selection of pages... 1/2
