@washingtonpost I'd like to see data supporting the statement that newspaper endorsements don't matter. When I subscribe to a newspaper, I trust the journalists are more knowledgeable than I am about issues that affect me, bc it's their job. It's a valuable data point.

Opinion by Jeff Bezos: Presidential endorsements do nothing to tip the scales of an election. What presidential endorsements actually do is create a perception of bias. The credibility gap can be bridged by independence. wapo.st/4hk99iJ

WTF!!!! Trump says as president he’d refuse to provide assistance to California to combat wild fires if Gavin Newsom doesn’t bend to his demands. So Trump would let thousands of animals die, crops and homes burn because the governor doesn’t like him??

@L_Historienne Are you a Chewy customer? We got a portrait of our dog for International Corgi day. Kind of weird but kind of awesome at the same time.

The problem with moving fast and breaking things is that things break, and it takes a long time to put them back together.

@capitalweather I've lived in Maryland for a few years now and it definitely seems like it rains on the weekend more often than would be expected by chance. Has anyone done this analysis? What is the best daily rain dataset for the DMV, if one were interested in exploring this?
