🆘🆘 POLAR (ID 241095), 9 YO, MALE– IN QUEEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - impound on 11/7/2025. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 11/22/25 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️➡️ MEDICAL PRIORITY – NEEDS MORE CARE AND ATTENTION THAN THE SHELTER CAN PROVIDE - IN FELINE ICU ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 14 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ POLAR IS ON THE EPL FOR MEDICAL REASONS - Polar is a senior cat that came in matted with urine staining and scald. He has been cleaned up and his wounds are slowly healing, but he is not eating and losing weight in shelter despite supportive care. He is very fearful and spends most/all of his time hunched in one place at the back of his kennel. Polar needs placement outside the stressful shelter environment where he has space to move and hide. If his anorexia continues, he will need additional veterinary care. NOT EATING IS A DEATH SENTENCE IN THE SHELTER.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with cats in my previous home. I am looking for a home with a patient person. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. Polar tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

🆘🆘 MILLIE (ID 238499), 2 YO, FEMALE – IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 10/4/2025, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 11/22/25 ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ TOO LOW ON PLEDGES TO STIMULATE RESCUE INTEREST ➡️🆘🆘 4TH Chance on Emergency Placement List – BEYOND URGENT - NO ROOM IN SHELTER – WILL NOT BE GIVEN MUCH MORE TIME – VERY HIGH EU/SILENT KILL RISK – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 48 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ MILLIE IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORALY REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: 2 years old Millie and her brood were brought to the care center when their owners moved far away. Their world was turned up side down. The good news? Millie's kittens went to foster care and blossomed into happy, friendly, playful loves. Millie's journey is taking longer, and she needs someone special to help her get there. This petite tiger girl with striking, feverish eyes is deeply stressed by shelter life. She tried escaping her kennel multiple times (once successfully), and now spends most of her time hiding, though she'll occasionally perch atop her den. She eats well, uses her litter box perfectly, and isn't aggressive in the slightest-just profoundly scared. With soft words, she'll sometimes offer slow blinks, and she eats readily once you leave. She avoids contact because she simply wasn't socialized in her previous home. Millie needs true honesty: Progress will be slow. She needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands that trust is earned in whispers, not leaps. Someone who won't rush her, won't expect immediate affection, but will give her the time and space to realize that not all humans leave. If her babies could transform with love and patience, why not Millie? She's young, she's sweet, and she deserves someone who believes she's worth the journey. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you
