We didn't have parties to "boost morale"
We didn't have quiz nights
We didn't have champagne
We watched our colleagues die though
We were STEEPED in death
We kept going
We had to
We kept on
So don't you DARE say your parties were "necessary" @borisjohnson
You make me sick.

A bit of “authenticity and feeling” wouldn’t go amiss or just quicken the autocue to start with

Rishi Sunak's speaking style makes Liz Truss look relaxed and fluid.

@HungryHoss @IoWBobSeely @SkyNews @RishiSunak That’s what I had thought. But if he hadn’t mistakenly thought he was, isn’t a Muslim himself and nor was the interviewer, just seemed to be a very random reference! No issue with him using it, just curious as to why that popped in his mind at that time
English

@habitualfeeder @IoWBobSeely @SkyNews @RishiSunak I doubt it... pretty widely known he's hindu (reported widely recently re diwali). I'm interested as to what's "correct" as a teacher who teaches about Islam (and other religions); e.g. expectation to to say 'peace be upon him' when mentioning Allah in lessons.
English

@HungryHoss @IoWBobSeely @SkyNews Just wondering if he’s mistakenly assumed @RishiSunak is a Muslim (the context of his preceding comments were about celebrating our first British Asian PM). Otherwise just a bit random, that’s all.
English

@habitualfeeder @IoWBobSeely @SkyNews Isn't it the same as a non-muslim using Arabic words like haram, halal, kismet, yallah or assalamu alaikum (had to look up the spelling for that one)? Or saying mazel tov, shalom or referring to kosher to a non-Jew?

@Gibney_A @mikeinmcr And that’s before wifey stuck her fingers in (after declining when ordering, obviously)

@mikeinmcr @Gibney_A Almost as bad as my £5 fries…
tell me about inflation without telling me about inflation!

English

@Gibney_A I’ve no issue paying what something is worth at all, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I felt so ripped off.

Let the world know that @rippleitinNZ is a huge farmer, one of those many farmers she likes to post on her twitter, but when we find out he's a farmer she blocks us so her followers can't find out, she's the one that affects XRPL projects.

The impact of Covid to our industry and supply chains has been immense and indiscriminate..
wish the same could be said about the outcry and waves of public support from major celebrities and brands alike when #London goes into Tier 3 vs when #Manchester did.. months ago!
