You know it sickens me that this government campaigned and still campaigns so strongly on national pride. They have no pride in this country. They allow its waters to become increasingly disgusting and polluted, as indicated by @mrjamesob below, they take no pride in our free healthcare, our social security, our multiculturalism, our social cohesion, our sense of fairness, our loathing of bullies, our love for the underdog, our climate, our planet, our compassion… National pride isn’t something you hang on a stick to wave arrogantly in the faces of foreigners. It means caring about the people and land you share and facing the world with a clear conscience. Something this government knows nothing about.

I thought this clip might resurface today. I played in the Parkinson band on numerous occasions (including the infamous Meg Ryan interview), and we often talked about this episode. He always gave his guests the maximum opportunity to shine.
