Thank you Rt Hon @AnitahAmong, the outgoing Speaker of Parliament, for withdrawing your candidature. This is the right step to allow a transparent investigation process. We also thank you and Rt Hon @Thomas_Tayebwa for your contribution in passing laws that have served Uganda. Let us all rally behind Rt Hon @ObothOboth. Finally, thank you Hon @TwahaFadhili and Hon Mapenduzi for your efforts in encouraging Rt Hon Speaker @AnitaAmong to withdraw from the race. Uganda needs accountability, unity, and transparent leadership.

RE: SPEAKERSHIP RACE I wish to draw the attention of the public to the matters regarding the Speakership race. After wide consultations and deep introspection, and to maintain harmony and clarity in my beloved party, the @NRMOnline, I wish to categorically and unequivocally state that I will not be offering myself for the Speakership race of the 12th Parliament. I am greatly indebted to H.E @KagutaMuseveni, my party, the @NRMOnline, and members of the 11th Parliament for giving me the opportunity to serve as Deputy Speaker and Speaker. I am equally indebted to my family and friends for the solidarity and support they have extended to me over the last five years. I pledge my total support to the candidates who will be endorsed by the President and the Party, and Implore all colleague MPs of the 12th Parliament to do the same. I shall remain available to the service of my country as the party and the President may assign me. In the meantime, I pledge to continue cooperating with all ongoing investigations as initiated by the relevant organs of the state to get to the root of all the allegations raised. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY. ANITA ANNET AMONG

@UEDCLTD We, the business community of Hoima, demand an immediate explanation for the current 72-hour blackout. UEDCL’s failure to manage the inherited distribution network has moved beyond a 'transition challenge' and is now a direct cause of business collapse in our region.

God said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance, for I have rejected him. The Lord, doesn’t look at the things people look at. Pipo look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."' - 1st Sam 16:7 Thank U, to everyone who believed in me! #TUKOPAMOJA 🤝

Brother and my OB Eddy Kenzo, I say this with respect and love, not as an attack but as advice from a fellow Ugandan who believes in truth. I have watched yo' interview with a one Noordeen where you said that because the government gave money to your UNMF, you feel you must serve or support Gen M7. I believe that way of thinking is not right, and I want to explain why. First of all, the money that the govt gave to UNMF is not from Sevo's pocket or the NRM party. It is public money......money that comes from taxes paid by ordinary Ugandans, including people who don’t even support NRM. The govt only manages that money on behalf of all citizens. So when the govt supports a program or association for your case UNMF, it is simply doing its duty, not giving a personal favour. Secondly, we must remember that govt and the NRM party are not the same thing. The govt is supposed to serve everyone, no matter their political side. If we start believing that public support means we must work for the ruling party, then we are so weak and shallow in our mindset. That kind of thinking makes citizens feel like they owe loyalty to politicians instead of demanding good service from them. Kenzo, as a big artist whom I respect so much and leader of UNMF, many young people look up to you. You have influence, and people listen to your words. That’s why it’s important for you to be civically aware to understand your rights and responsibilities as a citizen. You don’t have to thank or serve a political party for what rightfully belongs to Ugandans. Instead, you can use your voice to remind leaders to serve all citizens fairly. In the end, supporting UNMF doesn’t mean serving a party. It means standing for fairness, equality, and the rights of all Ugandans. That’s real leadership Eddy.

@DaudiKabanda Yes, I agree NTV gives Kyagulanyi coverage , but that’s called journalism, not hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is when state media like UBC pretend to serve the whole country yet are fully turned into regime propaganda tools. At least NTV isn’t hiding where it stands.
