By the time the performance started, the sun was still strong, and I was standing there during the opening before “Twins,” when suddenly a gust of wind blew. Then the sun started setting, and a cool breeze came in. I thought, “Wow, today…It was our last overseas performance, so I told myself I’d really enjoy it. My energy naturally went up, like “This is going to be so fun!” But during “Say Less” while doing that move, my back suddenly gave out completely. And I instantly thought, “Ah, this is so frustrating.” Because it was still early in the performance, and for Ho Chi Minh, it was a stop that got added later in our tour. The ELF there had been waiting for about 7 months since we started the tour in August. And since it was just one show, one day, I really wanted to give them an amazing performance and create great memories. But then my back gave out, and I felt so upset. The weather was perfect, the fans’ energy was great, the breeze was cool… I thought, “Wow, today is the best. This is perfect.” I even had pho in Ho Chi Minh. But after performing, I felt so upset that I almost felt like crying. I was really emotional. There’s no one to blame, it’s just my fault. For us members, even if we’re sick, we don’t really say it out loud. We just endure it quietly. That’s my style too, just thinking, “It’s my responsibility, I should’ve taken better care of myself.” But at that time, during the animal pajamas performance, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t go on stage. Still, I couldn’t just stay off the stage, so I sprayed some pain relief and tried to get through those two songs. Even if I moved slowly, I thought I should at least show a bright and good side. But it ended up being a disappointing performance. Ho Chi Minh… to our ELF there, I’ll show you a much better performance next time. I’m sorry. 🥺
