Rumors of billion-won tax reassessment surface around #JiChangWook; agency says it is currently verifying reports of National Tax Service audit and alleged back taxes. According to a report by Field News on June 2, the Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Regional Tax Office reportedly carried out an unscheduled special tax audit of Ji Chang-wook in March this year. The audit is said to have lasted approximately ten days. The report stated that tax authorities closely reviewed the timing of revenue recognition from Ji Chang-wook's domestic and overseas entertainment activities, the appropriateness of the settlement process for his appearance fees, and expense processing conducted through his agency and related corporations. During the subsequent tax verification process, authorities reportedly identified issues related to certain tax handling practices. As a result, Ji Chang-wook is said to have been assessed back taxes amounting to billions of won. However, neither the exact amount of the alleged tax reassessment nor the detailed findings of the investigation have been publicly disclosed. Amid growing attention surrounding the report, Ji Chang-wook's agency, Spring Company, responded by stating that it is "currently verifying the facts" regarding the matter.
