I presented Mr. Samuelsson with a statement I entered into the Congressional Record honoring the 10th anniversary of Volvo’s investment in South Carolina and their 70th anniversary of being in the United States.   The Ridgeville plant provides great jobs for South Carolinians and produces incredible cars for the world.

Today I had the pleasure to hand over one of the cars we provide to hospital personnel for safe transportation. Elaine ready to go back to work at Östra Sjukhuset, Gothenburg.

Leading the way towards normality. Volvo Cars Dealerships in the US opening up for sales this week. Our factory in South Carolina opened again yesterday.

Last Monday we started up production again. Today we launch the stay home store to buy or lease a car online. A safe way to buy our cars.

On Monday we welcome our people back. Adapted work environment incl. necessary social distancing and other precaution measures have been taken both in factories and offices. Production can now restart in a safe way. We need to come back to normality asap.
