Really pleased to see this announced. Glad to have played a small part in getting it going.

Watched this excellent video last night. Been talking about this stuff for a while. @gcntweet is right, once you see the way car drivers are prioritised over everyone else it's impossible to not see it everywhere

Today's decision emanating from Southwark Crown Court is an outrage . It is an attack on our civil liberties , we must defend our right to peaceful protest .
@AttorneyGeneral , please meet with us urgently . This grotesque miscarriage of justice must be fixed .

@grahamhrtn Plus good sustainable transport routes + making sure the housing is sustainable.

@PenguinJunk I mean, same. I would much rather be voting for something, but I can't persuade myself that voting green here is the best way to achieve positive change. I hope they win elsewhere & LD win here. I'd totally vote green in any safe seat.
English

@hakeofdoom @LibDems @CooperGeoff I want to vote FOR (a just and healthy society and natural world) rather than AGAINST (elitist and destructive economic ideology). LDs are still neoliberals. Perhaps a vote for green is a tiny signal to future voters?

On 4 July, I’ll be voting for a Romsey and Southampton North candidate who’s backing the #CANBill. Will you? @zerohour_uk @carolinenokes @connoreshaw @LabourChristie @CooperGeoff action.zerohour.uk/E14001449
English

@Kevenlaw @poornabell @EmmaKennedy If you vote for a party who end up in opposition (likely Conservative, Lib Dem, Green, Reform) then voting for them increases their funding slightly. They get £42.82 for every 200 votes gained by the party.
English

@Kevenlaw @poornabell @EmmaKennedy I view increasing the number of votes for candidates who don't win as a vote for a more representative voting system. It can also impact winning parties policies, UKIP only ever won one seat but we still got the Brexit referendum.
English

@PenguinJunk @LibDems @CooperGeoff Fair enough. I'll probably vote for them as the second best option.
English

@hakeofdoom I'll be honest, I don't think I could ever vote @LibDems @CooperGeoff after they forced through the airport expansion. In 2020 they were saying they didn't support airport expansion and yet at the same time Lib Dems at #Eastleigh were pushing for the expansion at #Southampton.

This looks better than what we have (machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-cbf20…). A box has the distinct advantage that you can put it on a window ledge.
Josh Ellis@jzellis
You know those Lasko box fans you can get in literally any American store for less than $20? This is the cheapest equivalent I can find here. That's $83 at today's exchange rates. I've literally never seen one here. Their entire society is designed around chilly damp.

@CarolineLucas In lots of places that's not going to be best. voteclimate.uk seems like it has reasonable recommendations (and it does suggest green in lots of seats).

The Green Party’s environment & climate plans have been judged to be *twice* as good as Labour’s. If you want Green, then #VoteGreen #Brighton mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

Numbers of insects dropping off a cliff so brilliantly illustrated on #r4today by the loss of the summer sounds of grasshoppers & crickets & pollinators of all kinds.
A truly terrifying mass extinction event that none of the major parties have clearly enough as their priority.

Yesterday, over 60,000 people marched to Parliament demanding immediate action to #RestoreNatureNow! 🌍
This massive turnout highlights the urgent need for stronger political action to tackle the nature and climate crisis.
