People have often wondered why Uganda has never produced influential online personalities like Bernese, UTD Trey, and others in that league. The reason is simple. Let me give you a clear example: Most Ugandans still believe that Twitter is only for elites. These are the kind of people who will never simp on your posts, no matter how much they actually like or admire you. Their pride is always sky-high. That’s precisely why TikTok creators in Uganda are generally earning far better than X influencers. TikTok has the right market — people who are willing to worship you, simp over your content, and do everything possible to turn you into their idol.In countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, a 100k-follower account commands genuine respect. People there understand how difficult it is to build and grow such an audience. But here in Uganda, you can have 100,000 followers and still earn like someone with only 2,000. Ugandan Twitter users rarely respect numbers. They don’t easily respect individuals either. Instead, many are constantly looking for your loopholes, mistakes, or weaknesses to pull you down — something that is far less common on TikTok.If Ugandans learned to support their own, talents like @Atuhairecarol10 (the breakthrough of all time), @Esau_Matsiko (Arsenal), @EddiePages (betting), and many others would be much further ahead today.

What are you known for on x? What’s your niche like?
