@jovanm1999 @jpFromTlon @hayqmets We couldnt recognise without Russias approval thats how it worked in this region up until recently , Russia was the guarantor in that conflict , than they decided to give up because they had bigger issues, blaming it on Armenia is to say the least very unfair

@hakobyan1997 @jpFromTlon @hayqmets Not even Armenia recognised Karabakh as part of Armenia so on what basis could Russia intervene if even Armenia didn’t recognise that territory as its own

It's so funny seeing people under Pashinyan/Western propaganda, or those deliberately spreading it, use such "heroic" language when talking about Russia. "We are willing to pay the price!" "We will not sacrifice our interests!" But strangely, for some "mythical", "unknown" reason, they turn into the most sniveling worms when it comes to Azerbaijan or Turkey. When the Pashinyan regime buys fuel products from Azerbaijan, the most anti-Armenian state on earth, suddenly "it is fine", or: "This will lower the prices in Armenia, bro, you don't get it!" "Yeah, we will change the constitution because Aliyev wants it, so what? Have you seen what Putin said the other day?!" In reality, there is no unknown or mythical reason at all. It's all incredibly simple, the Pashinyan regime, its satellites, and its Western handlers have a goal they never hid: to turn Armenia into an anti-Russian hub and integrate (feed) it into the Turkish-Azerbaijani axis, their main regional allies against Russia and Iran.
Hayk@hakobyan1997

@hayqmets Its insulting to Armenian people to think that we would sacrifice our interests to have cheaper gas or whatever , we will pay the price if needed, economic threats are very weak but looks like thats all they got at this point

As an Armenian citizen, President Putin's position is extremely understandable and expected to me. Russia has long sought clarity from Armenia - a clear stance on what it aims to do. Ordinary people/various experts/commentators, etc. can assume and say many things, but relations between states and leaders should be as clear as possible, especially when we are talking about a state with very limited capabilities. You cannot "hide" anything. So, Pashinyan's color revolution-installed regime and its satellites cannot continue making hostile anti-Russian moves, constantly provoking Russia, and constantly smearing Russia while worshipping the West and talking about "joining the EU," and at the same time enjoying the immense benefits that ties with Russia give Armenia. There are no threats whatsoever in his speech, as some people claim. Just stop playing games, let the Armenian public be completely aware of the natural consequences of potential decisions, and stop "acting crazy and inadequate" (this is what Pashinyan once described himself as in a conversation with Putin, by the way). A straightforward, measured and entirely transparent statement.
Prince du Karabaque@hayqmets

🇦🇲🇷🇺🇪🇺 President Putin on Armenia and the EU: "As for Armenia's plans to join the EU, this of course requires special consideration. We have discussed this with PM Pashinyan. I have said several times that we support everything that is beneficial for the Armenian people. We have a special relationship with the Armenian people that has lasted for centuries, and if a particular decision benefits the Armenian people, we won't oppose it. But of course, we must keep in mind certain circumstances that are important both for us and for our partners. For example, our trade turnover with Armenia is 7 billion, while Armenia's GDP is 29 billion, so this is a serious figure. Armenia also receives significant advantages within the EAEU. This concerns agriculture, the processing industry, customs and other duties, the migration sphere, and so on. In my view, it would be the correct thing, both toward the citizens of Armenia and toward us as the main economic partner, to determine this as soon as possible. This is not our business, but for example, holding a referendum would be completely logical, asking the citizens of Armenia what their choice will be. In accordance with that, we would also make the corresponding choice and proceed along the path of a soft, intelligent, and mutually beneficial separation."

@jpFromTlon @hayqmets Seems like you have very surface level knowledge, tell me why did Azeris ethnically cleanse Karabakh while Russia had 2000 soldiers standing there? Either Russia is that weak or was in on it. Which is it?

@hayqmets Our government's only obligation is to its own people and it must do everything for long term interests of its people. Key word is long term, even if some bussiness hurt in the short run, if moving away from Russia is in our interests we should do it.

I’m currently in Armenia, the first Christian country, Just tourism. But it is evident that hostile powers like Azerbaijan, funded by Israel, are hoping to slowly chip it away. Armenia has a much smaller population, is strangled by all its neighbors, landlocked etc. it’s very It is therefore much needed and reasonable that Armenia develops nuclear weapons to defend Christian interests in the region, and likely eliminate Azerbaijan After all, Azerbaijan has been trying to do it to Armenia! 🇦🇲

PM Pashinyan Calls Artsakh Movement “Fatal Mistake,” Says Lands “Were Never Ours for Us to Lose Them.” ➖➖➖ Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said, "The Artsakh (Karabakh) movement was a fatal mistake for us," at a campaign event in Kornidzor on Friday, vowing to "stop the Karabakh movement" and arguing that the contested territories "were never ours for us to lose them." Today marks the official opening of the campaign period ahead of Armenia's June 7 parliamentary elections, where Pashinyan's Civil Contract party faces Robert Kocharyan's Armenia Alliance and Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc. Pashinyan went further than past statements, declaring that his government had moved to formally end the movement itself. "Factors connected to the Karabakh movement were used for years to prevent the progress of our state. We made a very important conclusion. We made a very difficult decision, and that decision is to stop the Karabakh movement," he said. Addressing criticism that his government "lost territories," Pashinyan argued that such accusations were misleading because those territories "were never ours for us to lose them." "We convinced ourselves that they were ours. Those territories not only did not belong to us, but they were also used to weaken, weaken and weaken our sense of ownership and belonging regarding our internationally recognized territories," Pashinyan said. He added that the scenario facing Armenia in 2018 envisioned the country eventually ceasing to exist as a sovereign state and, at best, becoming a “banana republic” that would need permission from outside powers even to “breathe in and out.” "We have gone through a very difficult path and made difficult realizations. The hardest of them was understanding that our state, from the very first day of its creation in 1991, had been trapped," Pashinyan said. "Today, we have removed our state from that trap and placed it on a completely different path — the path of development." Pashinyan said his government quickly realized after coming to power in 2018 that Armenia had fallen into a geopolitical "trap," and that its mission was to pull the country out of it. "At the cost of our casualties and sacrifices, we have pulled Armenia out of that trap, and this is the most important thing," he said. "Those who say the sacrifices were in vain do not understand this — that Armenia's statehood was saved from the trap." Pashinyan said Armenia had never truly experienced peace prior to 2020, citing recurring casualties and injuries along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border every year. "It is a lie that there was peace before 2020," he stated. "Every year we had killed and wounded soldiers on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. We never had peace." The prime minister said Armenians had been misled into believing the Artsakh issue could be resolved the way it had been framed by Armenian leaders and media for decades. "We deceived ourselves into believing that we could solve the Artsakh issue the way we were told on television. That was the biggest lie and deception," he said. Pashinyan said the framework for resolving the Artsakh issue had effectively been determined at the 1996 Lisbon Summit, arguing that the years that followed were merely a delay of a larger existential threat facing Armenia. "This entire delay and postponement was aimed at one thing: resolving the 'Armenia issue' — meaning the elimination of Armenian statehood," he stated. Pashinyan also argued that Armenians had been falsely told the country's economic difficulties were caused by support for Artsakh. He claimed pensions and salaries in Artsakh had at times been higher than those in Armenia due to financial assistance from Yerevan. "We were told that we lived badly because of Artsakh, but that was also a lie," he said. "Pensions and salaries in Artsakh were higher at Armenia's expense, and those who forget this are ungrateful." The remarks are Pashinyan's sharpest disavowal to date of the cause that defined three decades of post-Soviet Armenian politics. Kornidzor is the Syunik border town through which more than 100,000 Armenians fled their homes during Azerbaijan's September 2023 offensive and ethnic cleansing of Artsakh.

"Stalin gave Armenia lands to Azerbaijan" remains one of the, if not the most, deluded, historically inaccurate and totally baseless myths that exist among Armenian communities worldwide, primarily among the Western diaspora still suffering from Cold War-era propaganda remnants.
Ruben Cross@RubenCross999

@hayqmets Did he forget to start the story from the beginning- Stalin gave armenia lands to Azerbaijan during Soviet Union. When the communist government collapsed, Armenia wanted their lands back that was “gifted” to another group of people by a dictator

This should be obvious to anyone with half a brain. Armenia does not offer anything unique to Turkey or Azerbaijan—anything it produces can be made by those countries at a lower cost, which could severely harm our economy if such goods are imported.
Robert Kocharyan@RobertKocharyan

The economies of Armenia and Turkey are competitive, not complementary. There is no agricultural product that Armenia can export to Turkey or Azerbaijan. This administration can bring an economic disaster upon Armenia. They will destroy the agriculture and then claim: “We lost agriculture, but we gained independence." youtu.be/c8hb8SmoyBY

@hakobyan1997 @harryistepanian P.S. More Armenians live and work in Russia than in Armenia itself just to put Armenia’s situation into proportion, while it keeps playing games. the Gulf states played games…they have money. Do you really think Iran would be happy with Armenia aspiring to become part of NATO?
