i feel really guilty when someone only chooses to spend time with me because they genuinely dont have anyone else as an option. im not that great a friend, so they should find better -> they cant, so theyre stuck with me and what little i offer. im really letting them down.

even tho (i think) i can recognize and understand the social and emotional status and needs well enough, i really really struggle to make the right choice or say the right things.

so its been awkward. at least, ive been feeling awkward spending time with them now. its made the feeling of drifting apart worse, and tbh i havent been trying my hardest to fix it. maybe its for the best, at least for me. im sure they can find someone else if im not there...

ive been drifting apart from a close friend, due to life (and because my social aptitude seems to be deteriorating over time), which makes me sad but also just a little bit relieved. i often listen to their complaints, because they need someone to vent to, and thats fine,
