Fabian Hurzeler has confirmed that Brighton brought an MMA fighter to training to help the club trial new techniques for defending set pieces. In a press conference before their away game against Newcastle, Hurzeler revealed that the fighter had been brought to a training session a “couple of months ago” to help the side develop its physical edge. “We brought him in because we’ve spoken a lot about set-pieces, blocking, and new trends in the Premier League,” he said. “We are trying to adapt to it because I don’t want this club to always be known as a club that is nice." 🚨 Diego Simeone: “When a game ends 5-4, everyone says: What a great game… and I say: they scored 5 goals against us”. “I don't know if it's such a good game for us coaches - but on TV, it was of course nice to watch that game”.

@hbrooks_coach This game is an exception. Harry Kane defending in backline, I wouldnt use this as a reference for anything. Its not sustainable sorry

Okan Buruk vs. Domenico Tedesco. — 3-2-5 IP vs. 4-4-2 OOP — Overloading 1st phase — Pinning entire backline — Bardakci/Sallai extremely wide — Distance for Guendouzi/Talisca too big — Leroy Sane as the key — Kante +1; too passive
