Some men are very intentional about making life comfortable for their wives. A brother who used to be my neighbour, would carry his newborn baby to Jumu'ah, and if there was a need to change his diaper, would happily do so in the front row without minding the stares from all sides, while relieving his wife of the burden of battling with the new baby's cries at the Masjid. Another brother who has two wives bought cars for both of them, while he doesn't even know how to drive himself. It's been years, they both drive around but he happily jumps from bike to Keke and Uber. We've seen his wife driving while he sits beside her to the Halqah premises numerous times and he isn't bothered at all. There are just some men who'd go to any length to give their wives premium comfort even at their own expense. Marry well, marry responsibly, for this is what it means to have a spouse who truly cares. Aboo Banaat

Avoid music It was narrated from Abu Malik Ash’ari ra that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “People among my nation will drink wine, calling it by another name, and musical instruments will be played for them and singing girls (will sing for them). Allah will cause the earth to swallow them up, and will turn them into monkeys and pigs.” PILLARS OF EMAAN Jibreel (alaihis salam) came in human form and said to Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam): “Tell me about true faith (Emaan).” Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) answered: “It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His inspired Books, His messengers, the Last Day, and in destiny, its good and evil.” Jibreel (alaihis salam) said: “You have spoken the truth.” [Sahih Muslim] Belief in Allah's Books is to believe that the Books of Allah are His Non-created Speech, and that they are sanctified above being comprised of letters and sounds and that everything that they contain is real and true. Four books in particular are: 1) The Tawrah given to Musa (alaihis salam) 2) The Zabur given to Dawud (alaihis salam) 3) The Injeel given to Eesa (alaihis salam) 4) and the Qur'an given to Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). Belief in Allah's messengers means to believe that Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) sent them to His creation for guidance, in order that they would teach them how to perfect their lives in this world and the Hereafter. He aided them with miraculous occurrences that proved their truthfulness. They delivered the message Allah revealed to them. It is obligatory to show respect and courtesy to all of them, and to not distinguish between them (i.e. by saying, "We believe in this one, but we reject this other one.") They are all under Allah's Divine protection from sins great and small. The number of messengers Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) sent to humankind is 124,000, and from among them we are required to know 25: 1) Adam 2) Idrees 3) Nuh 4) Hud 5) Salih 6) Ibraheem 7) Lut 8) Isma'il 9) Ishaq 10) Ya'qub 11) Yusuf 12) Shu'aib 13) Harun 14) Musa 15) Dawud 16) Sulaiman 17) Ayyub 18) Dhul Kifl 19) Yunus 20) Ilyas 21) al-Yasa 22) Zakariyyah 23) Yahya 24) Eesa, 25) Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam). The Muslim should also know that our Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was a Qurayshi Arab, the seal of the prophets and messengers, that he was born in Makkah, that he migrated to al-Madinah, that he died and was buried there, and that the system of law he brought (the Shari'ah) abrogated all systems of law that preceded it, and that it is valid to the Last Day. (And remember) the Day when We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imam [their Prophets, or their records of good and bad deeds, or their Holy Books like the Quran, the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), etc.]. So whosoever is given his record in his right hand, such will read their records, and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least. وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِ أَعْمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَعْمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا And whoever is blind in this world (i.e., does not see Allah's Signs and believes not in Him), will be blind in the Hereafter, and more astray from the Path. [Quran: Al-Isra, Verse: 71; 72] And Allah Knows best.

HOW TO REPENT AFTER HAVING SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH MENSTRUATING WIFE How to repent from having intercourse with one’s wife after her period has ended and before she has done ghusl Praise be to Allaah. Having intercourse with a menstruating woman in her vagina is haraam, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore, keep away from women during menses” [al-Baqarah 2:222]. Whoever does that has to seek the forgiveness of Allaah and repent to Him, and he has to give a dinar or half a dinar in charity as expiation for what he has done. Ahmad and the authors of al-Sunan narrated with a jayyid isnaad from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever has intercourse with his wife when she is menstruating should give a dinar or half a dinar in charity.” Whichever you give is sufficient. It is not permissible to have intercourse with one's wife after she has become pure, i.e., after the bleeding has stopped, and before she has done ghusl, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “and go not unto them till they are purified (from menses and have taken a bath)” [al-Baqarah 2:222] Allaah has not given permission for a man to have intercourse with a menstruating woman until her bleeding stops and she purifies herself, i.e., does ghusl. Whoever has intercourse with his wife before she has done ghusl has committed a sin and has to offer expiation (kafaarah). See Fataawa al-‘Ulama’ fi ‘Ushrat al-Nisa’, p. 51 Fatwa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah With regard to the way to rid oneself of sins that a man and woman have committed. You have to repent to Allaah for going against the prohibition mentioned in this aayah and for not paying heed to the words (interpretation of the meaning): “And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allaah has ordained for you” [al-Baqarah 2:222] That is done by regretting what has happened and resolving not to do it again, and by doing a lot of good deeds, for good deeds wipe out bad deeds. And Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

WHO SHOULD YOU TREAT KINDLY??? Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with them, said that: Allah's Messenger said: "They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whom should I treat kindly?' He said: 'Your mother.' He said: 'Then who?' He said: 'Your mother." He said: 'Then who?' He said: 'Your father'. He said : 'Then who?' He said: 'The next closest and the next closest.'" HOW TO PERFORM GHUSL Muslim adults perform an ablution, called Ghusl in Arabic, prior to rituals and prayers. This full-body ritual is required of men and women after intercourse or other sexual acts, after menstruation, after losing consciousness and giving birth or after death by natural causes. The entire body must be washed, rubbed and covered with water while intending to remove impurities from the body. How does one do ghusl (full ablution) to cleans oneself of janaabah (impurity following sexual activity)? Praise be to Allaah. There are two kinds of ghusl from janaabah – sufficient and complete. Sufficient ghusl means that you rinse your mouth and nose, then you wash your entire body with water, even if that means plunging yourself into deep water in one go. Complete ghusl means washing your private parts and anywhere else that is contaminated with traces of impurity, then you do full wudoo’, then you pour water over your head three times, making sure that it reaches the roots of the hair. Then you wash the right side of the body then the left side. [I’laam al-Musaafireen bi Ba’d Aadaab wa Ahkaam al-Safar wa ma yakhuss al-Mallaaheen al-Jawwiyyeen by ibn al-‘Uthaymeen, p.11].

The final two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah teach us the complete journey of the believer. He begins with faith, آمَنَ He receives revelation, بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مِن رَّبِّهِ He submits, سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا He recognises his shortcomings, غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا He remembers his destination, وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ He trusts Allah’s mercy, لَا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا He takes responsibility, لَهَا مَا كَسَبَتْ وَعَلَيْهَا مَا اكْتَسَبَتْ He asks for pardon, forgiveness and mercy, وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا And finally, he declares that Allah alone is his Protector, أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا These ayaat remind us that the believer is not perfect. He believes, submits, strives, seeks forgiveness and continually returns to Allah.
