@yuvipanda @staeiou The wiki way (as it tends to be) is more efficient. If you don't work in secret, you can't get scooped! *Gasp! But what if they publish before you?* Anyone who claims originality because they were merely first to get something through peer review is a liar. Cite all sources!

@egonwillighagen @sumit_ast @nikola_banovic The hardest problem is gathering the data. We learn from how Wikipedian's flag issues with content while correcting it. In theory, we could train a model using student report correction data. Need old and new sentences with a note about what issue was corrected.

"Automatically Labeling Low Quality Content on Wikipedia by Leveraging Patterns in Editing Behavior" improves detection of sentences that need citations, NPOV, and clarifications. Work by @sumit_ast, Sabrina Tobar Thommel, @halfak, and @nikola_banovic was accepted to #CSCW2021.

#CSCW2022 will be in Taiwan! #CSCW2023 will be "back" in Minneapolis! (This is the one where I am general co-chair!) And... 🥁🥁🥁 #CSCW2021 will be virtual again, with the hopes this will result in a strong, accessible conference. Likely 10/23-10/27.

I'm setting up a Minneapolis bike tour live stream for #CSCW2020. A couple reflections: (1) Minneapolis is beautiful this time of the year and (2) GoPro's facilities for live streaming through a phone's hotspot is abysmal UX. Oof.
