Ok, some more tweaks to the code and it's pretty smooth for about 200 objects, I'm capping the Physics engine (simulation now) to 30fps to make sure there are no jumps. Onto the next and biggest challenge, COLLISION detection.

Today I worked on reducing sensor and render jitter. I checked out a demo by @halftheopposite that helped me improve my sensor hook. I also tried different methods to speed up matterjs physics and skia rendring— here are the results. @buildinpublic @reactnative #skia

Nice design iteration @getsentry to make the app more "clicky" visually! If you ever consider it, the right pane toggle button border radius is a bit odd, removing the bottom right radius seems to make it even better. But I can live with it otherwise.

@Nividic_Studio Très clair, merci. Je vais appliquer la même chose pour lisser mes terrains. Je remarque que tu coup pour le vertex mémorisé tu l'updates dès que le curseur bouge (00:12, avec l'eau) ce qui fait que le terrain monte et descends en fonction de là où le user vise ?

@halftheopposite je mémorise l'altitude du vertex raycasté, puis je rapproche de cette altitude tous les autres vertex environnants à une vitesse plus ou moins rapide selon leur distance à l'altitude cible mémorisée

Started adding god-game mechanics with small creatures moving around the planet accross lands and mountains 🏔️ but avoiding water 🌊. Right now they're just using a random walk for movement but next step is implement a state machine and real goals. #gamedev #indiegame #indiedev

@ChuckBaggett @KenneyNL You can use the `Alt` key to lower the ground actually. The F, 1, and 2, keys are for placing props on the planet: you keep them pressed and click with the mouse where you want to place them.

Soon to release the multiplayer version of my collaborative planet sculpting game (browser). Also added fishes that you can feed 🐟🐡. Biggest challenge yet is to properly serialize the heightmap and actions betwen players using uint16array type in JS. #threejs #webgl #gamedev
