@starstarbee It’s pretty useful in some cases, I think. It’s the same thing that messaging and dating apps use to flag inappropriate pictures sent without warning (you know the ones LOL) so you can choose to uncover it or you simply don’t have to see it thank fuck

@starstarbee It’s not the same as training generative ai, it’s an ai that’s just searching for certain patterns, so to speak. It doesn’t learn from the images it’s looking at, it’s just trying to make sure certain media doesn’t end up where it doesn’t belong. It’s not perfect though obvi lol

@starstarbee It’s ai, it analyzes images and the filter basically tells it what to look out for. Not perfect though, obviously. I remember when tumblr first banned nsfw it was similar, looking for large amounts of fleshtone in certain shapes to trigger the censor but it gets it wrong sometime

@itsyacrimson It’s more like it’s seeing something nsfw that’s not there. I have my server set up so nsfw images can only be posted in a specific channel which is not the one I was trying to post to. The problem is that the image is not nsfw but being caught by the filter anyways lol
