James was an incredible person. The impact he left on everyone that he crossed paths with was so profound. It's unfortunate that the best ones always seem to pass too soon and James was definitely 1 of 1.

I’m sorry to share that James passed on Sunday, May 18, 2025. If you’ve been around the DFS world for any length of time, chances are you crossed paths with James. With his sharp takes, contagious energy, or the genuine way he connected with people. Growing the DFS industry and including everyone (even the guy in the back) was his true passion. He was community-driven, unfiltered, and always real. A true 1 of 1 person. His worst fear was letting everyone down, and even during the worst of days he would grin and bear it to keep that promise to himself. I also want to include this message from his wife to all of you. "Thank you to everyone that sent messages of encouragement to Degen during his ordeal. Your kind words, prayers, and good vibes meant more to him than anyone truly knew. My sincerest gratitude to all of you for making him feel loved and supported." For now, we’d love to hear your stories, memories, and anything else you’d like to share in his honor. @FalcoholicKevin I will say, the ceiling outweighs the risk here. Falcons had 21 sacks over a 5 game stretch late in the season. There's upside to have the best pass rush in the league in 2025.
