@ImYouthSoccer Very few AD’s have understanding of soccer. I’ve had calls about my interest or to recommend names this year & I think they are taken back when I tell them their expectations don’t align with reality. They want to compete for championships, but not give support needed to do so.

🚨Rant - When coaches who have one bad year after having their best RPI ever (Texas), coaches who are showing positive progress in their program and recruiting great (Florida) and those who are expected to win but not supported financially like their peers (Ole Miss) are let go it is part of the problem why this experience can be so tough on players as coaches are not given the security and support they need to do the same for their players. These opportunities above (along with Texas A&M) most likely be filled by current D1 head coaches who will then impact whole other programs in a ripple effect (ie UCLA) causing more impact for current players and recruits in vicious cycle. We would like to see more patience from AD's and looking at the big picture especially for a non-revenue sport.

@jc_playmakerWNY As someone who has coached in the ACC x2, SEC x2, AAC, Sunbelt, & now D2. I’ll tell you, they help the players that get to the schools that make them look good. Crazy where I am now & the 2 non “power 4” schools, I constantly would get I don’t have anyone that can play there

@jc_playmakerWNY I think 1 of 2 things will happen. The power 4 schools will pull back the outrageous spending, and things will stay as is. Or mid Majors will have to stop trying to keep up and let them go on their own. Changes in landscape typically bring in new money, but eventually will dry up

MARK MY WORDS: Either the ECNL or USSF will be taking over college soccer. ESPECIALLY on the women’s side. Why? The second that mid majors start dominating women’s soccer with international players is the day ECNL will die.
