Reports indicate wounded individuals were taken from ICUs. Families searching for loved ones were met with chaos, fear, and silence. What is happening is being described as part of a systematic massacre that has already claimed more than 40,000 lives. Forty thousand human beings. Forty thousand families shattered. Today, Iranians are too afraid to seek medical care. They fear that entering a hospital could mean arrest, disappearance, or execution. A hospital bed should not feel like a death sentence.
