Announcing Umineko City of Books: a social platform for Umineko fans, built around fan theory debates (and much more coming). Declare your theories as blue truth, attach quotes from the game as evidence, and the community responds on two sides: "With love, it can be seen" or "Without love, it cannot be seen." Each theory earns a credibility score (0-100) based on debate quality: responses backed by red or gold truth evidence carry more weight. What's live right now: * Theory declarations with episode scope and evidence from the game * Two-sided debate system with threaded replies * Credibility scoring weighted by truth type (gold > red > purple > blue) * Spoiler system - set your VN progress and theories beyond it are blurred * Real-time direct messages between users * Real-time notifications for responses, replies, upvotes, and DMs * Upvoting/downvoting * User profiles with avatars, draggable banners, pronouns, social links, activity feeds * Quote browser with filters for episode, character, and truth type. if this gets the traffic i want to see and doesn't just die to death, then i will extend this heavily with: * Discussion boards * Fanfiction and fan art sections * Character tier list builder * Friends system * Voice acting/video fan projects * Full forum board system with threads * Customised home feed for logged in users * Email notifications, etc... HAND Built with Go, React, TypeScript, SQLite, and WebSockets, and is Fully open source of course. I put a lot of effort into this, and please know this is just the BETA dev version 1 of this platform, the bare minimum i was happy with to share with the public.
