@BlakOlogun31176 @DeeOneAyekooto 91% of the state? Brainless ingnoramus! If you don't know anything, just go find the Kwara map and look up even the landmass alone to see whether other Yoruba bigots like you are located!

@DeeOneAyekooto Anything but Fulani. Bukola Saraki has presented Emir Sulu Gambar's nephew. Omar Gambari to contest for Governor of Kwara. Meanwhile the Yorubas who make up 91% of the state can't produce their own Yoruba candidate. Barubas have always been our alllies though treacherous.

Why can't they fund a structure? It maybe our last chance with Aso Rock protection. This is why I was emphasising on Governorship power structures. O ti su mi!

Despite the fact that Saliu Mustapha has obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms, he has not posted them for days, reportedly because they are still looking for his All Progressives Congress (APC) membership card to complete the process. So, how can someone without a solid party structure claim to be the APC flag-bearer in Kwara State?

EXCLUSIVE: Senators Ashiru, Sodiq Umar Step Down for Saliu Mustapha. Two serving senators from Kwara State, Lola Ashiru (Kwara South) and Sodiq Umar (Kwara North), have stepped down their governorship ambitions for the 2027 election and thrown their weight behind their colleague, Senator Saliu Mustapha of Kwara Central Senatorial District. The development, it was learnt, followed a meeting held in Abuja, where the duo agreed to withdraw from the race and support Mustapha’s aspiration on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Sources said both senators have instead opted to seek re-election into the Senate. They have also picked up APC senatorial nomination forms accordingly. A party source, who spoke in confidence, said the decision was part of efforts to strengthen unity within the party and improve the party's chances ahead of the primaries. “They resolved that it is better to support one among them. Of the three, Senator Mustapha is considered the most suitable for the governorship,” the source said. The source added that the senators are committed to backing Mustapha irrespective of the mode of primary adopted by the party. “If it is consensus, they will push and make a case for him with the Governor who has the final say on it. And if it is direct primaries, they will still mobilise support for him,” the source said. Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central Senatorial District, is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. It will be recalled that a national daily had reported yesterday that both the Presidency and the APC national leadership are increasingly favourably disposed to his candidacy, citing his broad acceptability across the state. However, it remains unclear whether he has secured the backing of the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, whose influence is expected to play a pivotal role in the party’s eventual decision. ~ Confidence News Nigeria.

STRATEGY vs SENTIMENT: THE GAME AT HAND FOR KWARA I’ve taken time to critically assess whether bias is clouding my strategic thinking, and after consultation, I can confidently say that bias only accounts for about 5% of my overall position. In analyzing the opposition, it is evident that Bukola Saraki’s presidential ambition in 2031 is heavily reliant on reclaiming Kwara State for the PDP as a base. That is why, in acknowledging the sentiments around Kwara North, the PDP in 2023 fielded a candidate from the region, largely to fulfill all righteousness despite being fully aware that they stood little to no chance of defeating an incumbent governor in a reelection year. That move, in itself, was not about victory, it was about positioning. Now, similar to any chess guru, the next move becomes just as important as the initial setup. It is evident that the PDP will most likely field a candidate from Kwara Central in 2027, and they have been operating on the assumption that the APC will zone to Kwara North. This brings us to the critical question, do you play into their hands, or do you introduce a curveball that finally puts the PDP to rest in Kwara State? At the core of this dilemma, particularly for Kwara North is the choice between prioritizing pseudo representation and pursuing actual scalable development. Beyond the arguments of equity and fairness, one must ask, what is the value of representation if there is no power to distribute? The caliber of candidates within the APC, regardless of region, suggests that zoning has not been firmly institutionalized in Kwara politics. This then presents a strategic choice, do you field your strongest possible team, or do you take a sentimental but risky gamble? Is it better to chase higher odds driven by sentiment, or the surest odds grounded in strategy? Regardless of the eventual outcome, one thing remains consistent, the APC is a disciplined party that will rally behind its eventual candidate. The real task, therefore, is not just identifying sentiment, but determining which sentiment is loudest and more importantly, which sentiment or strategy actually guarantees victory. All four former governors of Ogun State coming together to support a single candidate sends a strong message… unity, continuity, and shared vision. Imagine if kwara could replicate that kind of alignment. Politics would be less about personal ambition and more about collective progress. Sometimes leadership requires setting aside pride and individual interests for the bigger picture. When stakeholders unite behind a capable and grassroots-driven candidate like SSM @RealMallamSaliu , it creates a stronger path for stability and development. Kwara has the potential for this kind of political maturity. The real question is are they ready to put the state first?

All 4 Ogun Govs in the 4th Republic are present here, in this April 13, 2026 photo. United behind one candidate for 2027. To have all Govs since 1999 still alive AND to have them all backing 1 person from the State's 'political minority'—is not a story many States can boast of.

I extend my warmest felicitations to Christians in Kwara Central and across Nigeria on the occasion of Easter. This solemn and significant season calls us to reflect on the enduring virtues of sacrifice, love, and renewal as exemplified by Jesus Christ. It is a time to deepen our commitment to peace, tolerance, and compassion in our interactions with one another, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences. Easter embodies hope and triumph over adversity, an enduring message that resonates strongly as our nation continues its journey toward stability and progress. I am confident that, through unity, faith, and collective resolve, we shall overcome present challenges and build a more prosperous Nigeria. As always, I remain fully committed to advancing policies and initiatives that promote inclusive growth, sustainable development, and improved living standards for my constituents. May this Easter usher in renewed hope, enduring peace, and abundant blessings for our nation. SM

Watching Kwara politics over the years, one thing is clear: Saliu Mustapha delivers for his constituency. Education Scholarships programs, small business support, health initiatives and many more , he’s consistently putting the people first. I’m not a politician, just a concerned citizen, but I know who has shown real action. Kwara 2027 must be about results, not promises and shows off. You can Convince me, who among the other aspirants can match this level of impact? 👇 #Kwara2027 #KwaraPolitics #SaliuMustapha
