One of the older maps in my collection was the missing clue that has helped researchers at the University of Plymouth understand the impact of mussel farms in Lyme Bay. There’s a brilliant interview with Dr Emma Sheehan on Radio Devon today.

Today I learned that people in Basel, Switzerland, use the river to commute by just jumping in and floating downstream. You can buy “dry bags” to put your clothing and/or shopping in and then use it as a floatation device. I’m kind of obsessed. Watch:
