You live in a world of fully rational people who all make the correct decision. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button do they press?

Despite fighting malfunctioning equipment, I captured one of my most surreal videos ever. That’s the moon crossing in front of the sun. You can see mountains on the lunar limb as it transits the chromosphere. Captured using a specially modified telescope from Utah in 2023.

At Vandenberg right now and I’m pretty sure I can see a rocket on SLC-4. Anyone know what it is?

So where are all of the amateur space buffs with high powered telescopes tracking Artemis as it orbits the moon ? shouldn’t they be able to see it? Wouldn’t they be excited to post about it?

@bonzack think that's just a light on the capsule. remember the camera shows most of orion in frame. that dot would be in line with the moon so you aren't seeing anything behind it

I captured the ARTEMIS 2 ORION CAPSULE with my backyard telescope! tracked it for about two hours on Friday morning when the astronauts were ~110,000 km from Earth. Pretty wild to think that 4 humans are onboard that little dot. @NASAArtemis @zwoastro

@mimi_teaching @NASAArtemis @zwoastro I'd say just go anywhere where you're not right in the middle of streetlights like a beach or big park and bring binoculars, they 50x your ability to see things :)

@tobyliiiiiiiiii If this isn't a joke, pretty sure those are just dead pixels on the camera sensor from cosmic radiation
