It was way tastier than sweet potato pizza. My cooking skills have improved a bit since then. Q. How will you prove those skills? 🐼 In the past I used to share durian at music show, but this time I'll try sharing durian pizza instead. Since I said it I'll keep the promise! Q. Not just visuals, but good enough to get into a prestigious university during school days, sharp and excellent in every aspect including stage and performance what does Zhang Hao wants to have right now? 🐼 There are two things. One is producing ability. Not just the album, I want to be personally involved in creating the visuals, the performance and the stage. I've been very inspired by watching senior artists who produce themselves. Q. If there's a senior who especially stimulated you? 🐼 It's Choi Yena sunbaenim. ELLE MAN June issue - ZHANG HAO Interview Translation [PART 1] Q. What kind of beginning does AND2BLE's debut on May 26th mean to you? 🐼 It's an opportunity to show a mature side. Even though we are considered as complete rookie, but everyone knows we're not 100% rookie so we have to show a more distinct charm than any other artist. We're talking a lot among ourselves and continuously contemplating the team's direction. Q. As the leader, your sense of responsibility must be especially heavy. 🐼 Leader, it's so difficult (laughs). Q. Have you thought about the qualities you need to have as a leader? 🐼 I'm still searching. It hasn't been long, and since we haven't debuted yet, I'm still adjusting. There will be a lot of inevitable things going in the future when we work as a team but what's important for doing well is the fact that I need to communicate and learn from the members. Q. Even though you've known the members for a long time, regrouping as AND2BLE makes you get to know each other better. 🐼 Right. It feels like a slightly different relationship than before. I used to think I just needed to take care of myself, but now I have to look at the entire team while taking care of myself, I have to embrace all the members too. I wish the members would lean on me more. Q. What's something you've said to yourself a lot while preparing for debut? 🐼 Inside me, there's a "Positive Hao" and a "Negative Hao." Negative Hao shrinks back and shows a negative side, so I suppress it with the words "Don't be so sensitive". Positive Hao cheers me on with, "You do everything well, so do it with confidence!" The two Haos coexist inside me. Q. "Hao (昊)" means "summer sky". The summer sky is about to spread soon 🐼 Right. Hao's season has come (laughs) Q. Like AND2BLE's motto "a group where the various selves connect and ultimately come together" what was a recent moment you felt most "like yourself"? 🐼 This time, I tried a lot of styling challenges. AND2BLE's first mini-album teaser was uploaded. What concept and narrative is contained in your first project? 🐼 The first mini-album is titled 'Sequence 01: Curiosity.' As the name suggests, it means "curiosity". It contains the meaning that when something new begins to change, from the moment people feel curious about us, they've already started falling for us. There's also a message that if curiosity arises, don't reject it naturally accept it, get to know us, and fall deeply into AND2BLE's charm. Q. In the teaser 'Silence Cracks: Zhang Hao's Sound', the way you focus on your body's sensations and the brief violin melody were impressive. 🐼 The video is both strange and simple. It's like the feeling of searching for our inner selves. It's a symbolic video showing the process of finding the team's identity and the effort to create a new image, moving past previous activities. Q. If there's something you've been focusing on with great curiosity recently? 🐼 I've have a lot of ideas for focusing on an image shift. Q. Your ambition is overflowing. 🐼 I don't think I branded myself well in the past (laughs). Up until now, I think I've been seen as the member who likes durian, or as cute and cheerful. Now I want to show a more mature and calm atmosphere. That doesn't mean my past self wasn't me. It's true that I love durian. I just want people to know I have a calm side too. Q.
