@FriaR_15 @DevineGospel Petco is terrible for fringe batters. Makes me appreciate Tatis and Manny even more
English

@PadresHMA @sdutKevinAcee fluke start, now in last 30 games we're like 12-18, so just retool for next year and maximize the Tatis prime window
English

Will Padres fans ever agree on the deadline?
@SdutKevinAcee explains why everyone wants change, but no one agrees what that change should be.
"I don't know what a rebuild looks like."
English

@TalkinYanks Mason Miller, Michael King, and Luis Campusano
for
Lombard, Lagrange, Jasson
English

@SleeperYankees Padres seem to not appreciate Luis Campusano. He'd be fun to watch in Yankee stadium.
English

@MarinerMuse Miller + Ty
for
Kirby + Arroyo
I'll cry when the Mariners stretch Miller back out as a starter next year and he wins the Cy
English

@TooMuchMortons_ @OUxPadres longshot but also TEX Sebastian Walcott.
Miller, King, and Cronenworth are all nice fits for the team especially considering the AL West is open for the taking.

Make it hurt Preller like you made me sad for like 3 days after Leo was traded

"Mason Miller is definitely available.. The Padres need major league ready starting pitching" ~ @JeffPassan #PMSLive
English

@Smqr1976 dodgers seem to have brought in those specific guys for this healthy culture. don't know if that was part of the plan with Xander, but he's not really been able to add much given his struggles on the field. I think Laureano would have been a good vet leader but yeah...
English

Would be fun to the Pirates bring the hometown kid Mason Miller back home. It'd cost them Seth Hernandez, but PNC park would be full to watch Skenes handing the ball off to the Reaper.
Mason Miller + Adrian Morejon
for
Seth Hernandez, Murf Gray (longterm 1B for pads?), Hunter Barco (backend rotation lefty)

Guy on the far right is a cheat code and you will have to pay a hefty price if you want his services
Codify@CodifyBaseball
guys with 25+ save opportunities this year
English

@lonestarfriar Brutal. Packaging him with a bullpen arm to the Pirates made a lot of sense
English

Imagine trading Mason Miller and getting back Oneil Cruz, Jared Jones, AND other talented young pitchers in return. 🤯⚾️
Punchoutpitch@Punchoutpitch
The Pirates will listen to trade offers for Oneil Cruz to see if they can acquire bullpen help and starting pitching, per @BNightengale (Via @FoulTerritoryTV)
English

@andybolin2 It’s just a retool year. Turn expiring contracts in to future value. It’s how good teams - TB, Brewers - are run. Packaging King, Morejon, and Ty could bring back some very valuable prospects. Imagine a return from the Rangers, Redsox, Phillies
English

Would be elite for a team to trade for him, extend him in the offseason and then stretch him out.
If he did get traded, would be really fun to see him with Morejon slamming the door for the @Pirates and helping them make a Cinderella run to the playoffs
Jeff Passan@JeffPassan
A new top 100 trade candidates, with Mason Miller, Shea Langeliers, Zach Neto, Hunter Goodman, Francisco Lindor and Kevin Gausman joining. Fresh info on likelihood of the best players going, too. Keep following here as we'll keep updating thorough Aug. 3: espn.com/mlb/story/_/id…
English

@MLBNetwork @Pirates should go get Miller, Morejon, and Adam. Would be so fun to have their games be over at 6 innings with that staff

English

@SD_Brownie3 I think we could wrestle a good prospect loose by pairing him with Michael King to the Phils - Gage Wood?
English

@JustBB_Media @JeffPassan Buy a complete bullpen from the padres - Adam, Morejon, Miller - and really go for it
English

The Tigers are “far more likely than not” to trade Tarik Skubal at the deadline, per @JeffPassan.

English

@ChrisCoop_ Yeah that’s nuts. Better to hold Lagrange for a higher impact deal
English

Can someone unbiased tell me if I am nuts for thinking Zack Gelof should not remotely net a top 100 prospect, let alone Lagrange lol?
The Yankees traded Everson Pereira for 3.5+ years of Caballero to a division rival. Caballero, in a utility role, put up 2.0 fWAR for three years in a range of 300 - 450 PAs each of those seasons.
Zack Gelof has higher upside than Caballero of course, has better results this year, and is younger. But was dreadful the last two years, isn't "elite" defensively, and has showed some very questionable quality of contact/bat-to-ball skills this year, yielding a .290 xwOBA. A .290 xwOBA that has stagnated over his rolling 100 PA window for a while now.
I am intrigued by Gelof as an option for a lesser price though for sure...the bat speed/swing decisions combo is potentially a hidden gem for an org to find value from, especially if he's used in a platoon role against LHP at 2B for Jazz for example.
But this is a player who has very severe bat-to-ball problems who has struggled to both lift the ball in the air and hit the ball hard enough to compensate for that. And he has fewer years than what the Yankees got Caballero for, who they viewed at similarly in terms of being used against LHP + threw him in a driveline lab to get more out of his power. And they gave up far, far, far less than a top 100 prospect lol.
Gary Forde@gtf3_
@ChrisCoop_ The A’s would never take this trade anyways😂 Healthy Gelof is a 25/25 player and an elite glove at 2B
