I think the reason people think this feels different is because those characters weren’t redesigned with their dress getting shorter and boobs getting bigger with each redesign. 3 times she’s changed appearance and 3 times they cut more of her dress off. That’s people’s issue

being disappointed with unnecessary sexualized designs or not liking revealing clothing is fine/valid but some of these people just take it as a chance to hate on women and many of them do not hold their fan service on male characters to the same standards
