This is exactly the problem with many of you. You think reforms are only working when you personally receive alert overnight. If FAAC increases massively, states can pay salaries, build roads, improve infrastructure and reduce debt, that eventually affects people’s lives and the economy. Development is not magic, it’s gradual. If all these fails then you ask your state Governors or Local Government Chairmen

I bet most Obidients don’t even know that after the removal of fuel subsidy, FAAC allocations to state governments increased massively. Many states now have more money for salaries, infrastructure and projects than they did for years before the subsidy removal. The funny part is some of the same people attacking the policy are enjoying the benefits from the increased allocations in their states.

If you want to have a good laugh and also feel sad this morning, go to the Cruise channel on Youtube and watch this debate. 1 Tinubu supporter vs 20 opposition supporters. Yes, the youth talk with passion but conversations are often devoid of core principles and knowledge. The young people have a lot to learn about governance structure, economics, public finance, and government policies. This is failure on the part of the NOA and the APC. Political parties aren't just established to win elections. Parties are meant to educate young voters and keep them informed. Uninformed voters are a negative to democracy. The APC after several years should have solid Policy and governance platforms in our universities, a mini NESG. Chief Obafemi Awolowo did this with the UPN. The APC youth leader is busy chasing politicians around and playing PS 5. He doesn't participate in twitter spaces, he does impact knowledge or advocate for policy shifts. I haven't seen any article or policy paper authored by him. A complete waste of space.

Lagos remains the heartbeat of Nigeria, a city of endless hustle, boundless ambition, and unmatched resilience. It is a land where dreams are tested, and for many, fulfilled. This city that never sleeps, where the ocean kisses ambition and every street tells a story. Chaotic yet beautiful, exhausting yet inspiring, a city built by survivors and dreamers like President Tinubu. It is the economic nerve center of Nigeria, a symbol of innovation, enterprise, and perseverance. Despite its challenges, it continues to lead, inspire, and shape the future of the nation. You may complain about Lagos every day, but once you leave, you realize no other city carries the same spirit, energy, and hunger for success. I go lie for you? Lagos is not just a city, it is a mindset, loud, resilient, ambitious, and impossible to ignore. When Anambra had the chance to become another Lagos, they chose Peter Obi. When Rivers State was on the verge of competing with Lagos, we got Sim Fubara. God bless every hand that has contributed to the growth of Lagos. Eko o ni baje, abi how una dey take talk am

Nigeria has not over borrowed compared to countries like Egypt, South Africa and West African country of Senegal. Nigeria is credit worthy and can still take more loans to finance infrastructure. The unwarranted alarm against loans is symptomatic of economic and financial ignorance.
Akinwumi@Big_marvis

Egypt’s total debt is estimated at over $400 billion, with a GDP around $390 billion — debt-to-GDP above 100%. South Africa’s debt is about $580 billion, with GDP around $420 billion — roughly 135% debt-to-GDP. Nigeria’s total public debt is about $110 billion, with a GDP around $340 billion — roughly 35% debt-to-GDP. Yet some people keep shouting that Nigeria is the “loan capital of the world.” To them: Loans are Haram. Education is Haram. Road construction is Haram. Power projects are Haram. Internet expansion is Haram. Railway modernization is Haram. Airport upgrades are Haram. Seaport reforms are Haram. Dams and agro-processing projects are Haram. Solar energy expansion is Haram. But the same people praise countries that borrowed far more aggressively to build infrastructure and grow their economies. The difference between productive borrowing and reckless borrowing is simple: what the money is used for. If loans are used to build roads, expand electricity, improve transport, increase internet access, modernize ports, support agriculture, and attract investment, those are long-term national assets. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu says the focus is on infrastructure that can improve productivity and economic growth across Nigeria. Criticism is normal in democracy, but opposing every single project simply because of politics helps nobody. Development is not the enemy. Underdevelopment is. Some people are no longer in any coven. They are simply online 24/7 wailing against everything.
